What is your day to day winter coat?

Help me find one! I’ve worn my trusty Trespass long puffer with fluffy hood for three years now which does the job but I’d like something a bit nicer. Ideally with a hood and black.

I’m 37, 5’5 and a size 8/10.

Help a girl out please!

I have a lot of winter coats / jackets. My favorite is Posideng long goose down jacket, it is super warm and looks great. My DH also has a short one from the same brand and he loves it.

You really need to explain about what your lifestyle is/ where you live, and your budget.
I used to have a lovely wool pea-coat. It was warm and smart, but not great in the rain. This was fine when I had a lifestyle compatible with carrying an umbrella.
I now wear a Lands End parka. It's much less stylish, but waterproof and has a hood and lots of pockets. I live by the coast, where the rain often comes in horizontally.
My friend recently wore a Lululemon puffer jacket which was gorgeous. I can't really explain, but it just looked better than the average coat.

I recently got the brown longer length puffer coat from m and s. As an everyday coat for knocking about in I really like it.

They also have a longer length one in black which I think is around £70. Mine have lasted me a few years so they are pretty tough.

Landsend Expedition Down Parka. They come in two lengths - knee length or just above the ankle. It's like wearing a duvet - windproof, waterproof and warm. Stormflap, wrist cuffs, double zip, handwarmer pockets and hood all designed to keep the weather out.

I've worn it in a -20°C blizzard in Norway in January and was still toasty.

Lulu lemon wonder puff. It’s a long black down puffa but very lightweight. I’ve not had it long so I will be interested to see how it does when it gets really cold.

I like this but even with blue light discount it’s over £300

I got this one from Tescos, it’s based on a Dryrobe but smarter, I’ve lived in it, it’s lightweight, warm and waterproof and has 25% off at the moment

Fjallraven Nuuk parka
Bought 3 years ago for a January visit to Iceland. It was ££ but I’ve just washed & re waterproofed it, still looks like new.
Comes in black, I have it in navy.
If you prefer a parka to a puffer it’s a good option, you can often find it discounted if you shop around online.
