I keep seeing this advertised and I’m so intrigued.

Has anyone tried it? Do you love it or hate it?

Where is the best place to get a sample and what is the best dupe?

I know nothing about perfumes and up until last year I didn’t own any.

I really love it . It’s a very unique scent - to me it smells very clean and has an almost dentist type aroma - which doesn’t sound attractive but it is !

I had a sample of the real thing. It's nice but I wouldn't buy it. I wear MFK's Oud Satin Mood but only for evenings out because crikey it's assertive.

A couple of years ago I reckon about 1 in 3 Londoners wore this. The tube, every shop and cafe stunk of it! It seems to have disappeared now.

I've have the Zara dupe but I don't actually think it smells that much of the real thing. But I can barely smell either of them!

I find it nice but quite sweet in a caramel way. Almost like rotting fruit, not floral notes.

I have it but don’t wear it anymore as my son’s Lynx Black Cherry smells almost exactly the same. Big waste of money. My mum can’t smell Rouge at all- she probably can smell the Lynx

It's very sweet. It's based on ambroxan, which many people are anosmic to - and yes, I think that's why some people apply it so liberally!

Lots and lots of people say Ariana’s Cloud is extremely similar. With both, I just don’t ‘get it’ and I’ve tried enough times. I can smell them but it’s not rave worthy or even pleasant on me 😭 just a bit….nothing-y, a bit metallic and a hint of artificial sweetener. The Baccarat lingers for longer.

It smells like the Stay-Puft marshmallow man having root canal surgery.

Superdrug Artiscent Precious Amber is apparently a dupe. I have never smelt the original or a dupe though.

I burnt chocolate I was melting in a pan on the hob last night 🙈and the scent wasn’t too far away from Baccarat Rouge 540. Not pleasant 😀

I think its way overrated and overpriced for what it is. No real substance to it.

If you like clean scents, I think a much better and kind of similar scent is Ariana Grande Cloud (MUCH better price point as well).

I have a few dupes of it and someone randomly always comments on it smelling nice, whenever I wear it. I discovered it by asking an air hostess what she was wearing, after smelling her every time she went past for 8 hours!

My sample came.

I’m not that keen on it but it’s ok. Definitely a hint of dentist smell. I certainly don’t think I’d buy a bottle but I’ll use the sample to see if it grows on me.

I ordered Lost Cherry Tom Ford, The Baccarat Rouge and Burberry Goddess.

The Burberry is by far my favourite.

The Lost Cherry smells quite masculine to me.
