I've got 50 year old tired skin. Combination, buy prone to drying.

I'd like something along lines of retinol and a heavy night cream. Moisturiser with spf. Any suggestions? Please not the snail stuff.

Thank you

Why don’t you get some treatments and advice when you get there?

Sadly I'm not going, my friend is 😀

Anua and Numbuzin are both foolproof brands to buy from.

Korean skincare isn’t big on heavy creams though. Most stuff is water based.

Thank you @Sparkletastic . Any other suggestions out there?

Korean skincare is all about lots of layers, many are thin, rather than a heavy cream.
Retinol and a night cream are more of a French style routine.

And Koreans definitely wear separate spf rather than in their moisturiser.

If you aren't going I'd send a picture of yourself without makeup and details of your skin issues and ask her to ask the shop assistants. Based on your skin complaints they should be able to suggest some products that may be suitable for you. Otherwise I'd pick up a k beauty edit from Boots and see how well the products work for you. Cult beauty currently have one too. Both are reasonably priced for edits and will give you a chance to try some korean skincare.

it’s really hard to recommend skincare without knowing your age and skin concerns.
There are four YouTube vloggers from Korea who I would recommend looking at for ideas.
Euniunni, Soo Beauty, CYoung and Beauty Within. They’re all a bit bouncy and energetic for me, and it’s obvious that their content is heavily sponsored, but you still get to put a finger on the pulse of what is selling and an idea about the products.

Thank you everyone. I'm 50, fine lines and combination skin. Prone to massive dryness, despite still being quite oily. Thanks for your suggestions

Ne real need for a friend to bring back, you can now buy quite a lot in the Uk in Boots, Superdrug and places like SkinCupid. I buy batches via Yesstyle from Korea with codes it is quite a bit cheaper than UK providers

Look up Soobooji - Korean term for oily but dehydrated skin and see if it fits as that may help narrow down.
