trying to grow out short hair - help

Right, any tips on how to deal with the horror of growing out short hair? I have a long front bit so that makes life a bit easier.

Don't say buy a hat.

i just let it grow so looked shocking i expect it is a lot better oince done

AM growning mine out back into a bob - I have the back cut into mu neck every 6 weeks and just let the rest grow down - it is a complete pain and I hate it but hopefully by mid august when I go on hols it will look ok!

had it all lopped off last year, November iirc, not had it cut since

wash it every day and dry upside down to give a bit of body

faff about with gels/serums to seperate layers

clips at the front to hold back fringey bits

how short is your hair?

it's on my profile, 3rd from bottom. It's shorter at the back now but a bit longer at the front. It is VERY thin hair and very straight. I am a repeat offender with short hair - I tend to grow it, get bored and cut it off and then have to start again. Will I never learn?

I do that too, about every 3 years or so

dh despairs with me and just says do what you want, I do not have an opinion

mine is naturally curly so the mess is hidden

headscarf is a good idea like MamaG said

I'd have a cute, Louise Brooks-style twenties bob; they look fab on dark hair. You could have the back shorter for now and level off the front section into a very short bob shape. The back will soon join the front if you have regualr trims.

I notice no-one has come forward with a magic potion??? Come on....
