Those non-wired moulded bra tops?

They look so comfy. Can anyone recommend some I can try? Ideally dress size rather than cup size.

Anyone?! I thought they were popular?

Do you mean the vests with integral non-wired bra? Uniqlo is the only place I know of that does these.
They are comfy but it's worth trying before you buy as I'm not sure how well they work for all sizes. I suspect they're best for smaller sizes.

StarlightLady · 18/10/2025 07:56

I’m a 36F. I had a vest top from Bravissimo a few years back. I don’t know if they still do them. I didn’t find it comfy or practical. It was too sweaty in the summer. It also took ages to dry after being washed. Likewise, it was not practical for winter.

Nitgel · 18/10/2025 07:58

Uniqlo are good fir this. The camisole ones are good. I'm a suze 14/16 and buy xl

Iwanttoliveinagardencentre · 18/10/2025 08:10

I can heartily recommend Body&Bra although I wear their actual bras which are also the moulded type. They sell pull on bra tops too.

It is the most comfortable bra I have ever worn and supports my 36GG boobs really well.

I have suffered so much discomfort over the years with bras and bloody evil underwires or sweaty monoboob from non wired type.

Aged 58 I finally found the solution!

Ollybob · 18/10/2025 08:12

I don't know if you mean the stretchy crop top things that are on tiktok ect.
Tbh I have one from Primark, looks great when I first put it on with a bit of shuffling 😂
Although soon the elastic starts stretching and although better than no bra I wouldn't go out the house with it on unless I had a big jumper/coat the support is terrible!

Christine1998 · 18/10/2025 08:14

If you have a primark try there. I wear the moulded ones as they give a better shape than non wired bras as I can’t wear wires since having breast cancer. They have ones that have hook and eye fastening the same as bras and sports bra type ones. They are very comfortable.

EndlessDistraction · 18/10/2025 08:19

I'm a size 18, 36E and have some of the Uniqlo tee shirt ones in L and they are amazing, so smooth and supportive. They do take a while to dry but that's a very small downside. Had them a couple of years and they are as good as new after many, many washes.

I am also a recent convert to Body and Bra, the most supportive non-wired bras I've ever found.

jokkkshfjjf · 18/10/2025 08:19

I have some from primark, they’re good as a pyjama top but unless you’re very small (or have fake boobs) they wouldn’t be sufficient outside the house. I find it funny they’ve ‘exploded’ online, they’ve been around for years, I’ve always had them for pyjama tops.

jokkkshfjjf · 18/10/2025 08:20

(Assuming that’s what you mean)

MarshaMarshaMarsha · 18/10/2025 08:29

Thanks all, I mean the things that are meant to be worn as an actual bra but they don’t have the usual hook/eye and no underwires. This type of thing but no idea if they are actually any good?

Depends on your size. I've had an op now. I was a 36 g pre op.

Now a 36d

Anyway pre op they were only night time use as just don't have the support. Gave me a mono boob and looked pretty shit. Now I'm post op I can wear them out during the day. They are very comfortable. I like Tescos and Sainsbury's ones Not really tried an expensive brand like Sloggi. Need to be a bit tight but so
Much better than underwires

Ah I see, sorry. The problem I find with anything like this is that they don’t give me enough rise and shape. I’m an E cup on a 10/12 frame and anything other than a contraption with wires and full cups makes me look matronly, and well, fat :( so I use things like this for home, but never would outside the house.

But worth trying, maybe you have a great shape for them.

Isn't this a crop top?

JamMakingWannaBe · 18/10/2025 10:29

When I was pregnant I bought the style you are looking for in Sainsbury's as I needed overnight support for my boobs. As PP, they are comfy but potentially don't give you sufficient "daytime activities" support.

I'm a size 12, 32D and had a M and then a L for swollen preggo boobs. They were not expensive so you could perhaps just buy one to see if you like it.

NotbloodyGivingupYet · 18/10/2025 10:39

Have a look at Boody.
A few styles, no wires, with varying degrees of support. Some are more like crop tops, some more bra like. All comfy. I like the ones with the wider straps.
Or there's marks and sparks Flexi fit full cup bra, very soft, nonwired with normal bra fasteners at the back.

I have found Sainsbury's versions of these to be very good for wearing at home. Size up if you have a larger cup size. The thicker ones (you'll see the difference if you compare the range they have) are good enough to wear outside the house for coverage and support purposes, but I don't love the shape and usually wear underwires to get a better look in structured clothes.

elb1504 · 18/10/2025 11:03

I have some from F&F at Tesco and they are fab but I have small boobs and generally under jumpers/sweatshirts etc.. they look fine, some tops i need more of a structured bra.

GiddyDog · 18/10/2025 11:07

I'm a size 10, 32F and wear the ones from Asda in a medium if that helps.

SunSeaSky · 18/10/2025 11:10

The Flexifit crop top from M & S is very comfortable. Reasonable support (I'm a DD cup) but they don't last long. I find the underband unravels after frequent washing and they lose their elasticity.
Good under T shirts but can be a bit sweaty in hot weather.
I still prefer over traditional bras though for comfort and having tried several brands, these give best support.

In the description do they specifically say they are moulded? Because I bought some from Amazon that look exactly the same as those, (and I mean exactly the same, as in even the same pictures, which make them look moulded and like that’s the shape of the actual bra top when not on - they’re not), not sure what brand. And they’re actually just stretchy and not actually moulded at all. I’m f/g cup and tbh, whilst they’re slightly better than nothing they really aren’t that supportive at all, and like pp not really something I’d want to be wearing while out. The elasticated bottom also tends to rise/roll up sort of under the boobs, which isn’t comfortable, and digs in, and the stretchy “straps” end up taking all the weight.

maybe these ones aren’t the same but Amazon is swimming with these and they all seem to have the same photos. If they really are, actually moulded then they might be ok. But with the number of brands offering what look to be the same item, with the same photos, and it actually turns out to just be a fully stretchy item with no real hold, then unless you’re small of boob likely minimum support. But I do think I have seen actual molded bras - there’s bound to be some ads for those on this post any second now if they’re not already! 😁

MarshaMarshaMarsha · 18/10/2025 11:54

Thanks all. I need to get measured but suspect I’m around a 36c but definitely need something that lifts a bit! I suspect I’ll be in the “ok for home” camp but need something with a bit of shape for going out in.
