Hair dye works quite well.

Lilliput · 04/06/2008 21:47

Yeah, very funny,
I meant what hair dye, semi- permanent, permanent?

i use semi-perm.

I've got serious roots showing plus some grey and blonde highlights, it's a bloody mess.

Clariol Nice & Easy do a semi-perm that lasts about 20+ washes - starts off a bit dark but is fine afyer abiut 4 washes I find.

Get one of the perm ones with the highlights in it, you can cover your roots etc with the base clour and then put the highlights in. If you already have highlights in it may come out lighter. Superdrugs own make is very cheaper good.

Sorry!

I use a L'oreal permanent one. I've tried the one where you comb highlights on top of the dye and it was too much faff. But it looked good.

I went for a permanent one in the end, L'oreal Excellence creme in natural blonde and smeared it on my head while I watched the soaps and so far I am pretty pleased. It's not a drastic colour change but has got rid of the roots and grey.
I might hate it in the morning though.
