Very comfortable loafers?

I can’t have uncomfortable feet anymore! And live in trainers. But I also need some other mid-season shoes that aren’t just trainers and would quite like some loafers or flat back lace ups.

Can anyone recommend any super comfortable ones? Ones you’d be happy to do 10,000 steps in? But also look great?

I thought about the Birkenstock ones but they look like slip ons (no back) from the photos and not sure about that.

Loafers are never going to be as comfortable as trainers - they don't have the support of the lacing across the top of the foot, and unless they fit very, very precisely they will rub your heels. I have some lovely chunky ones from Otto and Ivy but they only start at a UK 8 / EU 42.

Lace-up brogues are a better bet. Mine are Lanx Whitewell and they are genuinely as comfortable as trainers. I love them.

I recently bought some Solovair loafers in Toast. I have wide feet these days, so shoes are tricky for me. But I tried these on in the shop, and they are amazing. I got them in a gorgeous green. I've worn them almost every day this week, having got them on Saturday, they go with everything and I've had many complements. Even my teenage daughter approves

Clark’s Oak lace ups are very comfortable. Haven’t tried the chunkier ones.

Is anyone familiar with Geox? I tried on some Geox loafers in John Lewis which seemed like they might fit the bill. I think they were about £120, which is more than I would normally pay so I'd like to be confident before I commit!

Geox footwear is generally very comfortable and well made IMO. Haven't had their loafers though.

Lace up brogues from Embassy London. Expensive but beautifully made, super comfortable and wear really well. I have 3 pairs and love them. My indulgent treat.
