Amazing coat seen at ballet

I wonder if any of the amazing knowledgable style and beauty folk can help me identify this coat. I’ve tried googling but I’m not getting anywhere so it may be it’s an older piece.

So saw the most beautifully dressed lady yesterday. She had a long, ankle length dark blue fitted coat - I’m guessing it was very fine wool or similar. It wasn’t silk. The fit was slim with simple collar and blue buttons. What made it absolutely stand out was the vertical row of large (imagine sort of palm sized) white/silver embroidered flowers (possible old rose type looking) with some tiny silver sequins as part of the flowers that ran from the very top of each side of the coat down each side. Not on the button line but about 3 inches in - essentially running down over boobs but to the bottom. Front and back of the coat.

It was stunning! And I want one 😂

That rather lovely but not it. The flower embroidery was literally in a straight line from the mid shoulder straight down the front to the floor and about 4inches wide

Were the roses connected?

My initial thought was Forte Forte. They do stunning long embroidered coats, You could also look at Antik Batik and Camilla.

Thanks but the forte forte ones are a bit too boho
This was a really sharp slim fit. Without the flowers, it would have been a very smart business type over a suit type coat cut

Call net a porter and describe it. You could also email personal shoppers at John Lewis, Harvey Nicks, and Harrods.

Go back to every ballet production until you see her again? Make sure it's the same night - opening night, first Saturday etc.

Was so sure this would be older Anthropologie, but even checked US Ebay and nothing.
Invested now!

Am I getting the idea right? I think we need a visual.

This is truly awful! 😂

3luckystars · 14/10/2025 08:04

It’s like a dressing gown 😁

Icreatedausernameyippee · 14/10/2025 08:14

That's what I'm reading from the description 😂 palm sized embroidered flowers, running the length in two columns front and back on an ankle length dark blue coat...

Isanyonereallyanonymous · 14/10/2025 13:17

Just here to see if anyone finds the right one 😂

Here because if subtly done I like the sound of it.

Were the flowers navy flowers on navy coat op?

Oh sorry. I definitely had an impression of something more subtle than the pink ones - which silver would be.
