Hypoallergenic nail glue/press ons?

Hi all!

I've been having my nails done with gel for years however the last two times, I've started to get some itching, swelling and I even noticed the smell of the nail varnish in the salon made me feel slightly breathless (I'm asthmatic).

I'm now looking at using press on nails but I can't seem to find any nail glue that DOESNT contain Methacrylate!

Has anybody had the same issue and managed to find a good press on alternative?

TIA xxx

Me! I used to do my own nails. I used a gel nail tip kit. No lamp. I then decided to treat myself to BIAB at a salon and discovered that I am allergic to gel, so they refused to do my nails and I lost my deposit. My nails were ever so slightly lifting from the nail bed. I just thought they had been damaged by nail glue.

Anyway I have since discovered Kiss FX impress. These are nails with self adhesive. The trick is to prepare the nail well. Clean and use an alcohol wipe. Put them on before bed and when you are warm. They last around two weeks with no damage to your natural nail. You need to get used to the fact that they do have some movement, but I have never had one pop off. I recently went on a beach holiday and only changed them as I fancied a new colour after a week. Highly recommended. They really work for me, fit well anf good shape. Also fab colours. You can only find them in Superdrug though.

They change colour in different light settings. These turn burgundy and gold. They do green ones that turn purple in the sun.
