What do you like ‘your’ man to wear?

Stared into my wardrobe yesterday and came to the conclusion that its contents needs a slight stylistic refresh.

I’ve defaulted to having a ‘uniform’ look of a shacket or plaid shirt over a plain t with jeans and trainers. Though not a bad look, it could do with some variance and I’ll like some inspiration.

So… mn’ers, what do you like to see your man / partner / date dressed like?

Are you a man?
My DH wears what he likes , I rarely get involved.

Mine is a scruffy sod, but scrubs up well. I like him best in his ratty old dressing gown and second-best in a DJ.

Yes. I felt like I’ve had the same uniform more or less since my late teens and as a man now in his early 40s should probably shake it up a little and divert away from it slightly!

Honestly, your uniform looks fine as it is, depends on the fabrics and cuts though.

Personally, I don't have a man, but if I had, in an ideal world he'd have the style of Tyler, The Creator, but it's not everyone's cup of tea.
I also really like the styles of Folk, A Kind of Guise, APC, Am Paris, Études, Beams, Drakes etc...
All expensive brands, but it's more to give an idea of the looks, it's all easy to replicate with high street brands or second hand.

If you're on X / Twitter, have a look at @ dieworkwear, he's a living encyclopedia of menswear.

My bloke is usually in a t and jeans but when we go out he'll wear a shirt or shirt/jumper combo and smarter jeans/chino type trousers. I don't really care as long as his clothes are clean/ironed and fit him properly

Thank you. I’ll give him a follow and will check those brands out for inspiration. I just might need to be more confident to include a bit more colour and / or patterns.

Saw Tyler play years ago out in Austin, Texas when OddFuture just started to get hype. I definitely wouldn’t feel comfortable pulling his style off and it would certainly get some odd looks from people in my sleepy town!

Thanks again.
