Sizing for Nobody's Child

How do you find their cut/general sizing?

I've never bought from them before but have fallen in love with a dress online. I generally wear a 14, occasionally a 16 if the brand is smaller.

Get the bigger size.

I find sizing a bit changeable personally. I’m usually a 12-14. I have some lovely blouses in a 12, and a dress for which I had to size up to a 14. But their coats are incredibly oversized - I was in store a couple of days ago and found I’m definitely an S rather than M for those!

mnahmnah · 05/10/2025 22:09

Definitely go bigger. If you are larger of boob, I wouldn’t bother!

Constantlypuzzled82 · 05/10/2025 22:13

Sorry if this isn’t helpful as it contradicts other posters but I recently ordered 2 dresses in a 14 & 16 and kept the 14. I’m an F cup bra and often a 16 on top but not in this case.

Definitely the first one OP, I’m tempted myself!

Lovely dresses, I actually ordered the lighter green one and an currently debating whether or not to send it back, largely because ds said ooh mummy I really like that dress it makes you look like a lovely elf (I have red hair which probably adds to the effect).
True to size for me but I am fairly flat chested and often find dresses with that style top gape a little and that one doesn't.

Molinia · 06/10/2025 09:03

Also curious. Idly contemplating a skirt, but the size guide puts me as a 6, which strikes me as implausible (in most of the brands I buy I'm an 8). If NC sizing runs small then it is decidedly weird. OTOH I've noticed that the boundaries between sizes seem to have shifted a bit over the past couple of years.

Britpopbaby · 06/10/2025 13:24

I have the longer version of the Starlight dress and had to size up so I would size up at least once. If you have a big M&S near you with a NC concession I would go and try on.

LadyDanburysHat · 06/10/2025 13:31

I have a dress from them in that style and am very much a 16 and the 16 fits me fine. It also has space for my massive boobs, so there must be differences in their styles. But this style seems true to size to me.

hobbledyhoy · 06/10/2025 16:22

Yep go a size bigger than you are, always seem to be cut small

Yep I’m a 32G and fit in them fine! Normal sizing (Hobbs/M&S)

TartanMammy · 06/10/2025 18:59

The dresses don't seem to fit me, even going a couple of sizes above my usual size. I'm apple shaped so maybe that's it, bit they won't go over my boobs either, which aren't huge but not tiny either!

RebeccaDecember · 06/10/2025 19:56

I find their dresses are true to size when you buy them but definitely prone to shrinking in the wash, so I’d size up

CurlewKate · 06/10/2025 20:18

I would go a size up. Particularly if you are at all busty.

Lewiscapaldiscat · 06/10/2025 20:26

I’m pear shaped and size down

Zempy · 06/10/2025 20:28

Lovely dresses, but if they fit my 32G boobs, they will be three sizes too big everywhere else.

Definitely not designed for those of us who are blessed in the chest department.
