Best hot brush these days?

My Babyliss Big Hair rotating hot brush thing died recently. I have had it for years and was my favourite method of blow drying my hair.

I would like to replace it but wondering if there are better options for this sort of styler available these days?

I don't mind if it doesn't spin like the Big Hair one (I didn't use the spinning mode much).

My hair is currently below my shoulders although I will probably be getting it chopped into a bob soon so need a versatile size.

I don't want that spend much over £100.

Any recommendations welcome! 😊

Revlon One-Step. Better than the Babyliss.

Drybar double shot

Following, I have a shark smooth style that I really like but it is very big. I would love a compact travel version for holidays

I've used the Babyliss rotating brush for years, following recommendations on MN, first the 50mm barrel then the 42mm barrel which was better for my chin length hair. It conked out last week and I've just bought this

It has a 38mm which is ideal for me but it doesn't rotate which I would have preferred. In their infinite wisdom Babyliss are no longer doing the rotating 42mm, so I'm stuck with this non-rotator!

I've only used it once and was OK but I was sort of waiting for it to rotate!

This is still the best one I have tried (long, fine, lifeless-without-effort, hair). I bought a Revlon One Step and it’s rubbish (cable is way too short, it’s too heavy and far too big) went back to the Babyliss.

Oooh, I like the price of this one a LOT.

I used to love the rotating feature of the Big Hair, but then I discovered how to use it without rotating it, which allowed me to use it on the coolest temp setting (mine never rotated on the lowest heat - not sure if this was the case with all or if mine had an issue) and I never looked back. I don't know why I thought it was probably more gentle on the hair to use it in the non-spinning mode too.

For that price I might give that Babyliss one a whirl. Thank you!

I was in Peter Jones today having a look at various implements, and the Shark thing is big!

I've just measured my new purchase and it's about 30cm or 12"" and very lightweight.

I used it today for the second time and it was fine.

At £23 I'd say it's a bargain, although I'd like the 38mm barrel to rotate!

The rotating Babyliss is still available on Amazon. I didn't get on with the Revlon at all - the cord was far too short and I preferred the rotating of the Babyliss one.

I tried a GHD version, and I didn't like that either, it made my hair feel a bit rough, as though I'd been swimming and just towel dried rather than carefully styling it. I gave it to my sister and she loves it for her much thicker hair.
