Hi all. I am seriously considering having lower bleph done. Have thought long and hard for years now.
I had a consultation and am looking at dates.

I realise everyone is different but would love to hear from someone that had it done. Also what makeup you used to cover the bruising?

Scarring causes more crows feet in most women i know, scrunching of skin is very common too.

Most celebs have alien, wonky eyes after it.

You wouldn't let a straight man put make-up on your face
Why let one permenantly alter your face

I've seen loads of really positive outcomes on tiktok, strongly considering it myself.

Following because thinking about it myself. I’m a 71 year old woman and live alone. If you have had this operation can you give us any advice here? Recovery time? How long until you felt fully recovered? Is recovery impacted if you are widowed and live alone 300 miles from family? And was it worth it to you? Thank you if you can share your experiences here.

I would love to see some pics if you don’t mind OP. I have awful baggy, puffy eyes myself.

NoMoreLimbo · 06/10/2025 18:13

@SummerEve I will try take some photos and upload. I was also reading up about polynucleotide injections and that this could be a good option for general rejuvenation of the eye area. I am trying to get some more information on this as it would be a cheaper and b less downtime.

@Princessofpumpkins my understading of the downtime from lower bleph surgery is that there is not really much of one other than hiding as one is bruised for a while. So a pair of big sunglasses could help.

Did you decided to go ahead @NoMoreLimbo I am seriously considering it. I think I look ok then go out and catch a glimpse in a window and all I can see are haggard eyebags looking back at me!

Isabelle70 · 04/12/2025 06:35

I have had Plinest polynucleotides for my under eye and it has made a difference, smoother and fresher looking. In total my 3 treatments were £960 with the results lasting around 9 months I believe so that may be a factor in your decision.
I also had swelling and bruising on the first and last treatments, which I could cover with make up to a certain degree.

Malariahilaria · 04/12/2025 06:47

I had mine done in my early 30s over 20 years ago. Best thing ever! I had massive fatty bags and they've never come back. Yes I have under eye wrinkles but nothing out of the ordinary. The main thing was people stopped telling me how tired I looked All The Time.

Recovery honestly took a bit longer than I thought, i think it was about a month before I looked normal so I couldn't pretend nothing happened at work but I changed jobs soon after so it didn't matter. Still no regrets and I'm so glad I did it for my confidence.
