Boden Trouser sizes - are they a bit mad?

Bought some trousers from there and they are MAHOOSIVE around the waist and hips, nearly falling off me! According to their charts I'm a 12R and their size 12 dreses are somewhat snug upon me, so I'm really surprised that they've come up so large...

Those of you who've ordered keks off them before, do they come up really huge or have I just got a rogue sizing? In your experience would I be okay with a 10 if I exchange them? I've never been a 10!!!

I find that the tops for grown ups are all really short, and the kids clothes are giant. Never tried trousers.

if you read the reviews fro those trousers quite a few people have said they needed a size down

Do you know, ggirl, I've been using the Boden site for years and I never noticed there were reviews on it!

(I must have really short arms, Darrell, as the tops are just right for me - but yes, a certain amount of tugging down has to be done!)

think they're a new thing

I have got lots of Boden trousers,but find the sizes a bit variable. I am a size 10 and find them reasonably accurate most of the time- I like the fact that most of their trousers don't stop at your bikini line.

I wish they would do shorter legs- an 5'3" and always have to shorten them.

lovecat - I have found exactly the same. Am a 12/14 in most places, but have just had to return a 12 skirt to Boden in exchange for a 10

Never been a 10 in anything - am walking round with the label hanging out in glee

I find Boden skirts massive- their size 10 trousers are always a tight-ish fit, but the size 8 skirts are roomy for me- take note!

Oooh, Detoxdiva, that's good to know, thanks, because I also have my eye on this and don't want to have to faff sending it back and forth! (I'd actually dismissed it as a potential summer (pah! what summer?!) skirt and then I saw someone in it at the weekend in the cocoa colourway and it looked laaarvely so am considering taking the plunge )

Yes, you wish you could stick a big sign on yourself saying SIZE 10! 10!!!, don't you?

Wear a lot of Boden trousers and agree about the variability of sizes (and baggy waists). I have a selection of 10s and 12s in my wardrobe accrued over the years (they never wear out...)

I now order a 10 and a 12 when there is a free returns thingy and keep the better fit. For everything else Boden I am a 10.
