Anyone else have this issue with Suncream moisturiser?

I use a moisturiser with spf 30 during the day but every time I do it starts stinging my eyes a bit within minutes. It's not awful so I just put up with it but it is annoying, especially as a contact wearer. Doesn't matter what type of moisturiser/spf it is and how far away I put it from my eye area. Anyone else have this issue and did you ever find something that didn't cause this?

I think mineral sunscreen is supposed to be less stingy but can be tricky to find one that sits nicely.

I don’t (also a contacts wearer so understand the stinging!) with what I’m currently using which is the Murad sunscreen serum. It’s super pricy on its own but I’ve always had it in advent calendars/beauty boxes. I did with the ordinary SPF occasionally which is odd as I think it’s the mineral one the previous poster suggested. Slightly off topic but I’ve read in a few places you should use a separate sunscreen and moisturiser for best protection. Have you tried just SPF serum on its own?

Yes! I avoid moisturisers with spf for this reason, and layer sun protection separately.

I use the boots No7 serum SPF50.
They will give you a generous sample to try out at home. It £25 normally, but always on special offer - think it has £10 off at the moment.

I had this too, but was recommended intradermology by a dermatologist who promised it wouldn’t sting my eyes - and it doesn’t. I do use a separate moisturiser and use the intradermalogy SPF on top, but I love it (it is a bit spenny though).

Me too! I have to use separate moisturiser and spf now which I am told we all should be doing anyway because there isn’t enough spf in a moisturiser to fully protect us. I had to have a mole checked out and was told that at the hospital a couple of years ago.

I don’t know if that is good advice or not and that’s not the reason I now use separates, I changed because my eyes would sting and then water badly using moisturisers with spf in them.

And wear sunglasses to protect your eyes even more
