Thick frizzy over 50s hair. Is it worth spending the money on Kerastase or similar. Baulking at nearly £60 on shampoo and conditioner....

Yes it is worth buying. I buy Loreal Professional Colour from HWS in 1500ml shampoo and 750ml conditioner with pump dispensers, shampoo lasts about 10 months with two of us using it, conditioner maybe 6 months. Costs about £50 for the two.

I recently splurged on Coco & Eve - and it’s an absolute game-changer, it’s given my dry frizzy hair unbelievable silkiness.

I use Elgon Yes Curls shampoo and conditioner. I am 55 and it is the best my hair has ever been. My hair is very long and instead of frizzy it is now lovely long curls. It is coloured.

My hairdresser says no to expensive shampoo and yes to expensive conditioner.

After reading this thread I bought the Kerastase Soleil shampoo. I washed my hair with it yesterday, didn’t use any conditioner and 3 different people commented on my hair yesterday saying how soft and shiny it looked. Very impressed so far!
