Morning all, adverts for this ‘at home’ vein treatment have popped up on my Facebook. Just wondered if anyone has tried it? I’m desperate and am very tempted! TIA. X

You haven’t attached a link. I’ve had both thread and varicose and have tried the lot. I can’t imagine a home treatment would work. I’ve had a combination of surgery, scelotherapy, EVLA laser, vein wave. It’s a ongoing thing for me 😥

I can see the photo now. I have no idea if that would work, but would suspect not. From what I understand, varicose veins are caused when a valve fails and the only make to get rid is to remove surgically or cause the to collapse with laser or foam scelotherapy. You need to treat varicose veins before moving on to deal with the smaller thread veins.

If you have varicose veins then I would recommend having a consultation with a vascular surgeon or vascular radiologist who will be able to tell you what is causing your problem. If you are in travelling distance I can recommend AVA Vein Clinic who offer an initial consultation with scan free of charge. The Vein Centre were also good, and have clinics all over the country. I think they charge around £300 for a consultation

I would have to say I doubt it

the lasers they use in clinics for this are pretty hefty, I don’t think you could get anything even close to piwerful enough for the home market
