It's 5 months to wait before my deep plane facelift in Nords clinic Lithuania. Im 63 and feel young, I've got loose facial skin after losing 5 stone, the body is passable and nobody sees it anyway so I dont care about that but your face is on show all the time.
Anyone on here got any regrets or post facelift tips? I've researched this clinic properly and my sister lives there, her friends all go there. It's popular with Europeans and they hire English translators.
Im getting a bit nervous now.

Please take before and after photos - excited for you! X

How did you sort travel insurance? (I'd definitely like to have a facelift so would be interested to hear how it goes!)

I've had some recommendations for travel insurance. It's not cheap its going to be around £300 for me. Ill let you know which one I choose nearer the time.

Hi OP, there’s a few threads from people who have documented their facelift recoveries - if you do a search for wagsandclaws, or collagenqueen their threads should come up.

I believe they both had theirs done in the UK so didn’t have the added stress of travel, but were pretty happy with their results. From what I have read, the recovery can take much longer than you might think.

I’m interested generally as I will get it done in the next 5 - 10 years and am trying to research the best options.

I just wanted to ask a few questions if that’s ok:

Is there a reason you have to wait until next year to get it done? Is there a really long waiting list at this clinic?

Also have you picked your surgeon and had a consultation?

Are you getting a neck lift or anything else done aswell?

How long are you planning to stay there after the surgery?

I'm getting it done in February because that's the only month I can take 3 weeks off work. It's super busy at the moment and we've lost quite a few staff so I have to choose a month that isn't popular.
Yes, I did an online consultation and I'm happy with all of their qualifications.I'm still deciding on the surgeon.
I'm getting a deep plane face and neck lift, upper and lower blepharoplasty and facial peel.
I'm quite lucky in that my sister lives in the city so I'm planning to stay with her for a couple of weeks then fly home just in case anything goes wrong.
We are not from there, she teaches english.
I have friends who have been and a lot of her Lithuanian friends go there for surgery.

When I was a nurse I worked in a private cosmetic surgery clinic for several years (BUPA) so I have a good idea what to expect, recovery times etc and I'm realistic about what can be achieved.

That sounds great OP, let us know how you get on.

Latitudary · 18/09/2025 13:12

OP, is this the clinic you're booked in at?
https://www.nordesthetics.com/en/

And it would be great to know how much you've been quoted for each of those procedures, or even just an overall quote.

Many thanks!

Hi…that’s so exciting, (and nerve wracking too!), keep posting ! I’m also looking to do face lift, upper lid reduction and possibly brow lift at this clinic in Lithuania …I’m in late 50’s and after few tough years and losing few stones I want to feel good and reward myself for once. I’m fatigued after researching uk options, and not finding a clear winner for me,I’ve found this clinic to have the least percentage of poor reviews so far … ( of those with over 500 reviews , except the one uk surgeon who charges from 35k for a facelift .. )…so I’ve decided to bite the bullet and book…any recommendations, advice or experience with them you can share, would be great , (first or second hand),most reviews I read were anout great body surgery, and general high standards but not more specific about individual surgeons etc ..thank you !

Stuckoncrossroads · 21/02/2026 11:37

@Gettingbysomehow how are you getting on? Did you / are you doing your surgery in Lithuania ? Thinking of you and hoping everything is going well 🍀
let us know how you’re doing 🙂
I have a surgery booked too, i know i will be terrified as the date approaches, it’s how the cookie crumbles …

cupfinalchaos · 21/02/2026 12:40

I’m excited for you op, if you know people who have been happy with their results than that’s good. I went to a top London surgeon eight years ago who hit a facial nerve and gave me palsy on one side of my face. I was lucky to recover but it took years. You just have to know that things can happen.

Stuckoncrossroads · 21/02/2026 13:13

@cupfinalchaos thank you so much for sharing, it is so important to be aware of the risks …(and you went for a top surgeon!)…wow…that’s a long recovery, so glad it’s behind you. Was it asymmetry/ weakness? So far o only heard first hand from people who said they didn’t regret it, so i appreciate your warning.
I wanted a surgeon who specialises in deep plane facelift, and finally chose one I’m willing to put my trust in his hands … still no guarantees, still terrified, but i’ll do one step at a time, then close my eyes… and take the consequences 😬🫣

keepincool · 21/02/2026 13:26

@Stuckoncrossroads I'm just wondering if you are having your procedure at Coppergate Clinic? My sister had her deep plane lift there and was very happy with the results. She had a quick recovery too.

ThatFairy · 21/02/2026 13:32

I saw a woman in her 60s on YouTube get one. The result was she looked 20. Amazing. Excited for you !

Edited

I didn’t have deep plane but nowadays that’s the way to go. What I had wasn’t just weakness it was total paralysis on the eyebrow and forehead right side. I have some movement back now after 8 years but not total and there is still a small difference in eyebrows which I treat with Bottox.

Stuckoncrossroads · 21/02/2026 15:10

This must have been so distressing @cupfinalchaos 😐 - was the surgeon/ clinic supportive in your long recovery? How do you feel about the whole thing now?

I feel it’s empowering that people can share experiences freely,to sort of level playing fields, clinics know that reputation is everything, hopefully a powerful incentive for good aftercare and fairness.
@keepincool that’s great to hear, thank you! Yes, Coppergate, Mr. West, was he your sister’s surgeon too?
Thanks @ThatFairy , yes, some people’s transformations are just incredible…was it done in uk? ( if so, share please ! 😊).
I’ll soon start taking unflattering ‘before’ photos and ‘maifest’ to counteract my unease. (I was excited until I actually booked it 😂).

ThatFairy · 21/02/2026 15:12

@Stuckoncrossroads I'm not sure where it was unfortunately my mum just showed me a short clip x

Gettingbysomehow · 21/02/2026 15:14

Im booked in now on 12th May. Im very excited. Ive worked in the NHS for 45 years and have had several big ops so Im not anxious at all. Im aware of all the risks. Just got to sort out the travel insurance and a weeks cattery stay for my girls 😁

In my case the thing that caused me even more trauma (if that was possible) was that the surgeon pretended my agonising nerve pain was normal, then very grudgingly admitted he may have slightly touched a facial nerve. His words were “If you even look at a facial nerve the wrong way this can easily happen”.

Not once did he apologise or contact me to see how I was doing. This is a well known Harley Street surgeon.

ThatFairy · 21/02/2026 15:22

That sounds terrible. Did you notice it straight away? I can’t believe that the surgeon didn’t help you recover from it.

Stuckoncrossroads · 21/02/2026 15:46

@cupfinalchaos I’m sorry you had such a terrible experience, that’s just awful, imo that’s why it’s important to share, name& shame etc.. …obviously risks are there and not always a surgeon’s fault, but there is no excuse for poor aftercare, gaslighting etc.. i know from experience that Harley street institutions operate relying hugely on famous name/ postcode lure, not necessarily finest expertise, there are some excellent and other not that great doctors there, like anywhere.

@Gettingbysomehow that’s not long to go.. mine is early summer, I am plotting Lithuania for another procedure if my first goes well, so keenly interested… any recommendations for insurers? Good luck with everything, so exciting! 🍀
