Are threads universally rubbish for lower face sagging?

I think I’d be an excellent candidate for a deep plan face lift but I can’t take the time off work that would be required for it to heal fully and I really do NOT want everyone to know

Will aim for it post retirement I think (I’m 52) but would love a bit of a lift now. It’s jowls mainly and a tortoise wrinkle neck but I’d settle just for a bit of a lift on the jowls.

are threads just always awful? I don’t want filler. Already have upper face Botox.

I’ve read they don’t last and can make your face look a bit odd!

Facelift surgeons really advise against threads if you are planning a facelift. They can cause scarring which can make the op harder.
I’ve tried HIFU which didn’t do much.
You could have a two stitch or VR lift which focuses on the lower face and isn’t as invasive (so quicker recovery).
Microneedling is good for texture and helping produce more collagen.

Im having a deep plane facelift in Fabruary. and im only having 2 weeks off. Im going to go back looking a bit battered but Ill put makeup on. My boss said as long as I have it done in February there won't be many people off. I've had cosmetic surgery before and I've been fine to go back to work after 2 weeks.

P.s I couldn't care less what my colleagues think. It's my life and my face.

I have read barely anything positive about them long term. And lots that wasn’t positive short term.

I’ve read and seen from many people I follow who had them when they first became a ‘thing’ that they are painful and not very effective

A friend of mine had a thread lift and it was awful - she said it was really painful and her face looked very strange afterwards. It settled down after a while, but I've never been tempted, despite trying various other 'tweaks' over the years. There is so little that is really effective and lasts longer than a few months IME. I will definitely have a decent facelift at some point, but I'm going to wait for now (early 50s). I see people who've already had two or three by their 60s and they look really odd. I'd rather wait and have one.

You could try a mini lift, with the knowledge that it works well for some but it’s usually a short term thing. Lots seem to have very unrealistic expectations from them but I think it’s (potentially) a better option that any of the heat treatment options.
I tried Morpheus8 (3 sessions) which was bloody useless. In the end it cost the same as doing a small lift.
