Sleepless nights - anyone used or can recommend a snoozeband

Hello, I get so many adverts for snoozebands, they seem expensive and there are similar products on-line - noise cancelling bluetooth blackout eye masks
can anyone recommend one please ?

I have 2 Snooze bands, the basic soft jersey one & DH bought me the delux silk one for Christmas!
i didn’t think I wanted an eye mask & started with wearing round my head but omg pulling it down over my eyes makes such a difference to my sleep.
i don’t use the timer as I tend to wake up when it turns off, I listen to a Talk Radio station like LBC, I find the voices very reassuring. My sleep is much improved.

Can you tell the difference between the basic and the deluxe one ?

I’ve only used the new one twice, it stays in place better as it has Velcro fastening it and it’s definitely softer on your ears when you sleep on your side! I can’t feel the speakers at all!

KnickerlessParsons · 28/12/2025 18:12

I had one for Christmas. I’ve used it twice and love it. It helps me ignore my tinnitus.
i can sleep on my side with it too.

NapoleonsToe · 28/12/2025 18:15

I recently bought a silk snoozeband to add to my other one upthread. Hated it. It pressed on m my eyes and it felt really uncomfortable. It went straight back. Back to my other one which is 1. much cheaper and 2. way more comfortable.

NCTDN · 28/12/2025 18:23

@NapoleonsToe which is your other one ?

What’s the fastening on the basic one ? I assumed it was Velcro.

NCTDN · 28/12/2025 18:24

Which one have you got ?

Tooty78 · 28/12/2025 18:39

I love my Snoozeband, I try to listen to Dreamquill sleep stories on Audible. They are so soothing I have yet to get to the end of any of them!

Another vote for Oslo sleep buds from me. They have changed my life. I just have brown/white noise playing all night so the worst of DH’s snoring is blocked out. I actually slept through a cat fight in my kitchen one night - DH and DS both woke up and ran downstairs to find an enormous tabby feral tomcat eyeballing my soft as you like black cat and yowling; DH had to split them up with a bar stool! Only evidence I found of the whole drama was that it left my cat with a rather dashing (we think) pirate’s ear! It means that if I go away, I can fall asleep to the same sound I hear at home, meaning it gets me through the ‘strange place so I’m wide awake on full alert’ first couple of nights. And if the insomnia is really raging (thanks, menopause), I take half a phenergan tablet before I pop my ear buds in. They feel a bit weird to start with but now I don’t even notice them, and I’m a side-sleeper.

BlueOceanFish · 28/12/2025 19:22

I love my snoozeband (I have the basic one with not fastening). I love sleeping with an eye mask anyway so that feels normal. So I listen to audio books on a timer and it helps for my kindle of the night insomnia. I take them away with me also incase I can’t sleep

I’ve got this musicozy one and it’s brilliant. I had the basic one originally but after a couple of years, one of the speakers stopped working so I upgraded.

I hated sleeping in a SnoozeBand, felt claustrophobic in in it, and I don’t want to listen to waterfalls etc, I want to listen to silence. Loop earplugs made me feel sick. Eventually an MNer directed me to Alpine earplugs, the most hardcore of which muffle the sound of DH enough for me to get some sleep.

I have this one which is just a jersey band

I’ve tried almost every Snoozeband model.

The basic one with no Velcro is too tight for my average size head.

The rigid one with the full eye mask is too rigid so you can’t listen to anything with the mask flipped up if that makes sense, you can’t pop to the loo or check the time without the whole thing coming off.

The natural fabric one (I have the one made from modal or something but I assume the silk is similar) doesn’t block the light and I had to sew in an opaque liner. It also absorbs any product on my face, looks dirty immediately and has to be washed in hot water to get it clean.

This is the one I really like: https://www.snoozeband.co.uk/products/snoozeband%e2%84%a2-2-0-bluetooth-sleep-headphones It blocks light really well and I don’t find it hot or tight.

I use mine on a low volume, I listen to podcasts on the timer but am usually asleep in minutes. I also wear earplugs because DH snores. I’d probably prefer a noise cancelling option so I could give up the earplugs but I haven’t researched that solution yet.

I was just about to buy this one, but there’s no mention of being able to set a timer on it to switch off after so long ?

littlemisssunshine247 · 30/12/2025 18:41

@NCTDNhmm not sure that function exists. I tend to listen to no-ads YouTube videos all night

You can use the timer function on your phone, at least you can with an iPhone. If you go to timer settings and scroll all the way down you can select stop playing. I set a few so if I wake up I can turn it back on then it will turn off again.

I have the snoozeband deluxe and I love it. Can’t sleep without it. I listen to podcasts mostly

I use the timer in Spotify, Audible or YouTube.
