How to stop hair frizzing up?

Just been camping for the week, which was okay apart from my hair! I know it sounds utterly vain, but it really ruined the trip for me. My usually blow-dried-and-straightened-every-morning hair just didn't happen. The weather was damp and foggy so my hair just curled and frizzed. It's very thin and fine and I looked hideous, even the DCs laughed at me! Basically, what can I do? Are those weather-proof hair products worth trying (a bit pricey so don't want to try if they're rubbish) and also, can you get any decent gas-powered straighteners? Although I don't think any amount of straightening would work tbh! Thanks for any info in advance.

frizz ease

you can put it on towel dried hair

(i'm sure most people don't notice that sort of thing on a camping trip!)

my hair goes frizzly frazzly in the rain. I'm not sure there's much you can do about that (and is also very fine and thin)

I tried the Frizz ease weather-proof stuff and it didn't make any difference to frizziness.

or wig

hat
or bandana

longterm consider getting hairstyle that works with your hair type, not against it

I have been blow drying my hair straight and using straightners for years now (strangely enough my hair got wavy-er with each pregnancy). I used to carry a hat around with me in case it rained

I recently got my hair done at the L'Oreal academy (where they teach hairdressers new tricks). The hairdresser persuaded me to let my hair curl and she cut my hair so that it looked good.

I now wash my hair, put a dab of Frizzease on it and scrunch it up a bit and I AM DONE! I used to spend 20 mins on my hair every morning and was paranoid that it would go curly again.

See if you can find a good hairdresser to advise you, as MrsBadger said to work with your hair rather than against it.

The John Frieda Weather Works stuff is very good. I've had practically no frizz since I started using it a few weeks ago - even better than Frizz Ease ime.

i have very fine curly hair. would NEVER use frizzease, the sylicone/silicon (aargh sp) in it is very drying and almost impossible to wash out. you need lots of conditioner and a good styling product, nothing too heavy. i like this looks expensive but have been using it every other day since january and still a fair bit left. have longish hair too.

My hiar goes frizzy in the rain - I have just started using Pual Mitchell Super Skinny Serum and it is fantastic - my hair stays frizz free and straight all day.
