EBay vs Vinted for selling

I have had an eBay account for about 20 years and have always used it to sell clothes but now wondering if I should open a Vinted account instead? Brands are Toast, Jaeger, Hush for example. What are others experiences?
Which gets higher prices?

I don’t know specifically about price comparison, but Vinted is just so much easier in my view. Those brands should sell well.

I agree, vinted is a lot more user friendly

I sell on both, but find that I get better prices on eBay. Vinted is quicker to upload, but you also get a load of tight arses wasting your time sending ridiculous offers on things. People seem to expect to get things for next to nothing on Vinted. There is no way to turn off offers, so if you don’t want offers, then I would suggest eBay.

Ebay sellers ask higher prices which some people will pay but so many buyers shop on vinted instead of ebay now so there are fewer potential sales for second hand clothes.
Ebay often holds your money after a sale is completed, sometimes for weeks.

Vinted is easier to use and you get paid faster but prices are expected to be low.
You can obviously set your price at whatever level you choose but buyers will compare with the average price for your item, unless it is unique.

Re. prices, I definitely don’t use Vinted’s suggested prices - usually far too low.

This is not my experience. I definitely more clothes on eBay than Vinted. Sure, if you’re willing to sell for peanuts and accept low ball offers then can probably shift a large volume on Vinted, but personally I don’t think it’s worth the hassle.

In terms of payouts, I get the money the say after the sale on eBay (regardless of whether or not the item has been posted). On Vinted you have to wait until after the item has been delivered.

Thanks everyone for the advice - very helpful.

I think I'll stick with eBay for now. I've got a 100% positive feedback rating and don't want to start from scratch with Vinted. Plus I only sell a few items each year, so it doesn't seem worth the hassle of changing at the moment.

I double list on both sites, just have to remember to take a listing down on one if you sell it on the other.
