How has your Strathbury bag lasted (and Mulburry)

I am looking for a throw everything in tote bag. I like the Mulburry Bayswater tote and the new 9-t tote, the latter appeals because it has rounded handle and a proper zip closure. I have never spent that much money on a bag, so a bit hesitant if it is worthy investment. I also like the Kite bag from Strathbury but it’s a newish brand I think - how do they cope with daily wear? Thank you.

I’ve got a mulberry zipped Bayswater and I’ve used it every day for the last 3 years. It’s come on my holidays, aeroplanes, nights out. I don’t particularly look after it well, it gets plonked on the floor and chucked in the car and it still looks and feels brand new.

I love the look of the Strathberry bags, and they are supposed to be really well made. The leather looks a lot softer than than my zipped Bayswater so I’m not sure it would stay looking new for any length of time.

Why is mumsnet the only place I hear or see anything regarding Mulberry.

it’s like some sort of glitch in the matrix. I never see anyone carrying one and I never hear anyone irl talk about the brand

I’ve got bags from Mulberry and one from Strathberry. Both beautifully made, the Strathberry one is definitely softer and less rigid. The Mulberry ones are a bit stiffer (and more expensive!) but they look as good as new.
