Choose me a new bra!

because I only have two that are fit to leave the house in and I am fed up of both of them - one the Freya Rosalie and one a grey satin/lace H&M one.

My rational side says I need a useful smooth fleshcoloured one for wearing under tight or light coloured stuff.
My other side is suggesting this.

Any helpful suggestions? 32DD, underwire or at least curved seam preferred, matching pants essential.

My stupid PC won't let me look at your bra. Its too sexy apparently.

I found freya bras a little on the snug side...

I have smooth teeshirt bras from Chantelle (hoiks up teeshirt to read name) that are lovely, with lacy around the sides and back but smooth on the front. As I have stated on my bra thread, they are > £50 a pop. But lovely.

go to a shop (Bravissimo maybe?) and try lots on. Or if you want to splash out, a trip to Rigby and Peller (WELL worth it)

I find Freya a bit skimpy on the sizing

EffiePerine · 30/05/2008 12:01

Most of mine are M&S T-shirt bras, and I just replace them when I ruin them.
Had one decent one from La Senza, but theirs are mostly not great - wires work their way out, shrinkage, straps dig in.

Never had decent bra, as in expensive or fitted, but I'm sure they're lovely.

Where do you live Mrs B as in Oxford there is a new lingerie shop that stocks the hotmilk line and it is nearly an excuse to have another baby so you can wear maternity bras & matching pants!

MrsBadger · 30/05/2008 12:04

I agree about the name Hot Milk being a bit, well, odd.
Saw an ad for their lingerie in a magazine the other day, and just thought 'eurgh. Hot Milk'?

Conjures up many strange imaginings

Yes it is on the South Parade (Joy lingerie) but make sure the lady who helps you is the lady who owns it and not one of the young weekend girls!!

I went there this week on recommendation of a friend and came home with 4 perfect bras, bit like a candyshop only went to get a strapless bra!!

pickie · 30/05/2008 12:18

Not sure about the hotmilk ones but the 'cheapest' I bought was £29, dearest £49.00. They have a good mix of prizes also very friendly for kids. DD had a weeks worth of rice cakes, she had books and plus got to pick a little soap at the end

aefondkiss · 30/05/2008 16:11

I would get the cherry bomb one, but then I seldom wear light coloured stuff on top... I think that bra is really nice for a bf bra. I like freya bras they fit me really well, nothing else apart from rigby and peller (which I can't afford) is as good imho.
