How to cover a bruise? TW

I have put a TW in the thread title just in case. Sorry to everyone who is/has been affected.

I’ve been to the dentist for some significant treatment and I have a whopping big bruise on my lower jaw. It looks very suspicious and my poor, kind, gentle partner is getting the side eye.

I’ve tried covering it in foundation (Maybelline) but people are still seeing it and asking if I’m OK.

It’s making me upset and I don’t want to dismiss DV in any shape or form (previous partner was borderline but that’s not for this thread) so is there any primer or base cover that I can use before foundation? We’re going on a family holiday in a few days and, while it’s good that people are concerned, I would just like to relax and enjoy myself.

The bruise is currently blue/black and should fade soon, but not quick enough.

Don’t know if the TW was necessary but I don’t want to upset anyone and TBH the reaction from people looking at me is messing with my head.

Oh I bruise sooo easily so I feel your pain! You need camouflage make up like Dermablend. It’s the only thing that will cover it. Arnica has never worked for me but maybe worth a try for you.
I think fresh pineapple is supposed help too but I’ve never tried it.

Thank you for the recommendation. I had a quick google and it’s available from Superdrug and Amazon so I’ve got time to get some quickly.
