I am looking to update my walking / keep fit wear. I do quite a bit of exercise, (Not running) just walking mainly pavement, round the park etc, not the gym..
I am mid/late 40s just looking for what brands to wear nowadays.
I s adidas chavvy? Is Nike / Reebok / Montirex / under armour ok? I feel so out of touch fashion wise. Size 8 but shortish in height.. i have no idea of what is in and what is out... Is Adanola too 'young'? I haven't a clue but don't have the cash to buy very expensive brands. I like leggings to hide my legs but not cropped ones, Not sure if leggings are still in fashion / are ok? I want to cheer myself up get some nice walk wear. Please help.

I see lots of people in my gym wearing under armour. I’ve just bought some cropped leggings from m and s in the sale and they seem good. They have a zipped pocket too. I’m not a follower of brands and prefer to wear exercise clothes for their practicality rather than fashion value.
I do have quite a few Nike tops in various styles and they have lasted ages. I also rate Nike trainers too.
A lot of younger women wear Gymshark and Sweaty Betty, they seem to be the in brands for the female gym goers.
Adidas is worn a lot where I am by people who are definitely not exercising so that might put you off wearing it as it does attract a certain type of person.
For walking leggings are definitely fine.

I wear Sweaty Betty leggings because they have phone pockets. Vest top in summer, long sleeved T and waterproof in cold weather. But I think the quality of SB has declined so I’m reluctant to pay nearly £90 for leggings which only last a year. Following with interest.

Uniqlo is very good

I've been a Sweaty Betty fan for years but the quality has definitely declined. I've recently taken a liking to Gym+Coffee which is a bit cheaper than CB but has been great quality so far and I love the designs. Also love that it's an Irish brand.

I just buy Lidls leggings

They do different styles and materials throughout the year and I favour the ones that come with the phone pockets

Been wearing some for years, and I walk ruddy miles every day , no bobbling, no wearing , no colour fade , no baggy knees or bum

I do prefer the cropped as Im short of leg

Same as @CortadoPlease , I just wear vest tops in good weather, and long sleeves with a waterproof and maybe a hoodie if really cold. The cows and sheep dont care what Im wearing

If you're in the city, do you actually need sports clothes for walking? Why not just wear good shoes and your normal clothes? Unless you wear athleisure a normal clothes, in which case buy what you think looks and feels best because you're wearing it all day!

I wear Sweaty Betty power leggings as I like the zip pocket at the back for my house key and the pocket on the leg for my phone. Plus they don't go saggy or give me any VPL. I agree I wouldn't buy them full price, I get them from the outlet store at Bicester or I wait to buy them on sale.

For tops I like Under Armour t shirts.
