I want to look like a woman not a flaming teenager!

and where you are supposed to wear them?

HeadFairy · 29/05/2008 11:37

but I like prom dresses

only good for poncy weddings tho IMHO

I bought one for myself last year, as we had been invited to a child-free, very poncy wedding......((shame I wasn;t on MN at that point, would have made for a FABULOUS thread)), and you should have seen some of the women......PMSL.

the bride owns several beauty palours, and all her 'girls' came to the wedding......none of them would have looked out of place with colleen and posh spice

my dress however, mine was tasteful.....

I have a prom dress. I wore it at a dinne rdance later last year; was black tie event. Prom dress stles seems very ppopular there.

I'm not against prom dresses per se, but they're not great for everyone... esp if you're screaming up to 40, with big boobs (so need to wear a proper bra) and arm tops you'd rather not get out in daylight.

Great if you're firm of flesh and tanned of skin, but for me no.... don't want to go for some horrendous frumpy mess which seems to be the alternative. There's nothing in between....

Oh and what's wrong with putting the length of a dress on a website? It's all very well telling us precisely what it's made of and how much it is, but how long is it please???????
