Absolute beginners guide to 40 yr old skin

Please can anyone help? I am 42.

I have always looked quite young for my age but I think that is generally down to genetics more than anything. But lately I have developed 2 forehead wrinkles and also under my eyes / mid cheeks it looks like kind of "hollow" and there is always a shadow there. Also my mouth is starting to be downturned, especially on one side more than the other.

I went to clinic and spoke to a nurse there who gave me an idea of a regime / treatment plan I could go down but he was really pushing botox and filler. I didn't like him at all as he said I had beautiful eyes and it was sad how my eyebrows were starting to droop onto them 🤨 which wasn't something I had noticed was happening and I now feel really self-conscious.
also the consultation cost £75 and I felt like a complete idiot afterwards. The treatment plan he was proposing was £1000's and then would be several hundred in maintenence/ upkeep. He did seem to know what he was talking about though.

I was wondering what would be a reasonable treatment plan, is this normal? Do I have to resort to filler and botox? Filler scares me more than botox tbh. He said for my droopy mouth I would need filler in my cheeks to pull it up, rather than putting filler on my mouth and "pushing" up as i'd have gravity to content with.

I would really like to get on top of this before I age anymore but at the same time I am a total novice, don't know who I can trust, etc.

Thanks So much x
