Hair Loss - after first pregnancy and breastfeeding

Does anyone have any tips / advice / information on how I can get my hair back to its original condition. I used to have fairly thick wavy hair before having my DS 2yrs ago, now it is straight, limp and fine.

Hairdresser said it was because I breastfed for 1 year and all the nutrients went to him and not to me.

I am now expecting DC # 2.

What a lot of bollocks your hairdresser speaks! Pregnancy does play havoc with your hair.

I would suggest you look to your diet, increase the amount of oil you include and also have a look out for some hair conditioner with keratin in. Also look for a multivitamin with folic acid in.

However pregnancy can permanently change your hair - sorry - usually it gets darker and straighter. But mine went weird for about nine months then popped back to what it was. Then of course I got pregnant again (gah!)

Ce la vie.

You need some zinc & iron. Are you taking a pregnancy vitamin & mineral ? Pregnacare is good & Boots usually have 3 for 2 offers on.
