Something with a bit of a sleeve, and not too tight fitting.

To wear with maybe black or very dark blue jeans and heels.

Anyone seen anything?

TIA

I can't link to anything specific but Monsoon have quite a few red tops atm. I hope you find what you are looking for.

Merlin · 27/05/2008 21:25

Thank you FFF - will take a look.

If you're happy to divulge, what's your budget and size, Merlin?

Merlin · 27/05/2008 21:28

Oooh ......... size probably 16, could get away with a 14 if not too tight on the tummy

Budget ..... as little as possible, but maybe up to £50 for something very special!!!!

AnotherFineMess · 27/05/2008 21:29

Cheers, that makes it much easier, off to search, back in a bit...

Merlin · 27/05/2008 21:30

Not sure why said 'red' just fancy a splash of colour! Hair colour is mid to dark brown.

Something like this but with more of a sleeve?

Again, this has no sleeve but it's very pretty.

Ooh, how about this one?

Am I on the right lines?

AnotherFineMess · 27/05/2008 21:39

Oops, sorry, did the same link twice. I meant this one!

Merlin · 27/05/2008 21:41

Thanks for looking.

Love those first two but don't want to bare my arms. Think a little cardi/shrug would spoil the effect!!!

AnotherFineMess · 27/05/2008 21:44

Right, same sort of thing with a sleeve then. I'm on a mission for you!

Merlin · 27/05/2008 21:45

You're a star AFM - have you nothing better to do this evening?

OP posts:
AnotherFineMess · 27/05/2008 21:48

Slightly over budget but pretty non?www.monsoon.co.uk/invt/22316125

this could be glammed up with nice jewellery and heels?

AnotherFineMess · 27/05/2008 21:50

Ha, not much! DH out, friends all without babysitters so on my own with a bottle of fizz, mumsnet & Britain's Got Talent! I'm sure I oculd be doing more mproving things with my time, but hey, I'm having fun! I LOVE shopping for other people, all the fun, none of the guilt...

Merlin · 27/05/2008 21:50

mmm first one too 'lacy' round bottom second one too plain!!!

God I'm fussy ....

Merlin · 27/05/2008 21:51

Could look at other colours? purpley shades maybe?

OP posts:
AnotherFineMess · 27/05/2008 21:51

Ok, are we going for knock him dead? How's your cleavage? (Sorry, it's the bubbles, they make me brash!)

Merlin · 27/05/2008 21:58

Cleavage could be up for a bit of exposure - have to flash some skin if arms are covered

OP posts:
bubblerock · 27/05/2008 22:12

Arms totally covered? This has cap sleeves.

AnotherFineMess · 27/05/2008 22:14

Clearly not red but still colourful here

And here

Can't find purple anything!

bunny3 · 27/05/2008 22:45

Merlin, how about a trip to CP nxt wk?

bunny3 · 27/05/2008 22:46

posted too early, sorry. ... come to cp and try a few tops on, I shall be an honest and frank sounding board.

Merlin · 27/05/2008 22:59

Hi Bunny - that would be good, but would like it for the FIRST party this weekend

Hope DD2's spots are all cleared up now.

Sparkler · 31/05/2008 21:15

Hi Merlin and Bunny3!!! Haven't seen/spoken to you both in ages. Hope all is well with you and your families. Have missed catching up with you guys.
Merlin have you found your top yet? When's DH's birthday?
xxxx

twinsetandpearls · 31/05/2008 22:07

slightly over budget but pretty. But if you have an ample bust it may be a bit much

twinsetandpearls · 31/05/2008 22:19

monsoon blouse

pink
but comes with satin warnings

very cute but again may be too frilly for a larger cleavage
