Hair colour fading

My hair is naturally dark brown but with an increasing sprinkling of grey. I’m 52 and mid menopause. I’ve lost some hair due to low iron and it’s growing back quite frizzy.
I have it coloured quite regularly but it fades/lightens and takes on an orange glow. Does anyone use any products that might slow this process down. I am off to Greece in a couple of weeks and dread to think what it’ll look like after a week in the sun. So ideas for protectors would also be very welcome!!
Thank you

Could you ask your hairdresser? They know your hair well if they are colouring it. I ask my hairdresser to recommend stuff to me from every day shampoo to coloured shampoo to maintain my colour which is blonde.

I grew my colour out as the grey was more flattering and way less hassle. I echo asking your hairdresser about products. Colour protecting shampoo and conditioner, something to protect your hair if you're going into the pool, UV protection and wearing a hat or head covering of some sort. Philip Kingsley is a good place to start. Color Wow too.

Blue shampoo or conditioner removes orange tones - although if you have any yellow in your hair it can turn green if you over use it. Just once a week or one in every 3 washes.
I'm 12 months into growing out my natural ash brown with streaks of grey because all hair dye seems to fade to orange on me and the contrast between that and the grey is too extreme - I'm growing all the dye out before the grey takes over completely.

Glaze is good for reduce frizz without adding colour - although they also do some tinted ones if you want to keep the brown tone.

I use this on my dark brown hair when it starts to go brassy. £8 from Amazon
