help accessorising

Pretty bad at accessorising so would love your help! I've just bought this dress for a birthday party overseas. Similar climate to here. I'd like some sandals, a bracelet, small bag, earrings. Not too expensive!

Things to note - I'm a bit fat of ankle so nothing that will emphasise that. No heels or v, v small heel. I'm olive/brown skinned but suit silver best. Brown shoulder length hair.

Thanks. I'd like to look good but I'm not great at the details that elevate an outfit.

Do you not have any of those items already? It’s a bit of a bore buying them all at once, particularly on a budget. (In the sense that lots of cheapish things together can look a bit ‘Christmas tree’.) It’s more satisfying to mostly use what you already own and just maybe buy one good new accessory.

But if you insist, I’d suggest Zara for shoes. These, for instance:

Zara red sandals

I wouldn’t go for anything with an ankle strap as if your ankles are wider it will emphasise that and also cut your leg off at an awkward point. I’d maybe consider an emerald green for shoes.

Yes, on reflection maybe not the red sandals. (I was focused on the colour.) But something in that sort of red.

Thanks I do like the style of the red sandals. I don’t have loads of accessories and tend to wear flip flops or Birkenstocks all summer. Doesn’t need to be cheap stuff necessarily but I don’t have a designer budget.
