Bloody hell. Have just cust ds hair and it is just about passable except I have cut his fringe too short and now he does look like a monk! He hates hairdressers but I now vow to never do it myself. He just would not keep still. Nightmare!!!

ah no, can't do that to poor ds. Its bad enough the poor kid has got nursery tomorrow so no time to get to hairdressers to get it sorted.

So long as you didn't tonsure him too.

DD doesn't like me cutting her fringe (and she's 9 now). A few months ago I noticed something odd....took a deep breath and decided to play it cool...

'Where's your fringe?'
'Oh, I cut it'
'Yes, I can see that, but where is the fringe? Did you put it in the bin?' (like the only issue was tidying up!)

She'd cut it very short without benefit of a mirror. As she said, at least it wouldn't need doing again for a long time. She was perfectly happy with it so what the heck?!

The hair turned up last week inside a book.
And the fringe has grown back - nearly needs another cut...

He's gone to nursery today happy. Did my best to get it to look acceptable and it is tidier now which is something!
