Help please ladies! Lost weight but don't know how to dress my new shape.

OK I am 5 foot 10 and I have recently gone from a size 20 to a size 14. Obviously a new wardrobe is needed but I am 43 and don't want to dress too young. Looking for stylish rather than trendy. I am pear shaped with heavy thighs so no short skirts please - other than that I am open to ideas.

Well done on the weight loss. That's brilliant. You might find some of the recommendations on the 'Women of a certain age' thread useful.

I have also lost my post baby (nearly!)weight and am a pear 10 top/12 or 14 bottom.

I have bought some New Look Hula dark denim jeans for a bargain £10 which fit pears well which I wear with some also cheap fairtrade cotton V neck T-shirt's from Tesco and a nice necklace (got a good one from Kew but keep a look out everywhere .

Couple of dresses from white stuff hereand monsoon with nice summer shoes and bag.Skirt from Great Plains here with jigsaw jazzy flip flops and well fitted low neck Gap T shirt. Blouse from Monsoon good shape with nice cut trousers.

Have found fitted tops with well cut skirt/trousers to skim my least favourite bits (bum/thighs/tummy) my best bet and definately better with a defined waist on things to show I curve in and have a small waist.

It is much easier clothes shopping now I'm lighter
