I just want a good quality (thick fabric), slim fitting, long t-shirt with short sleeves and a proper, deep scoop neck.

The holy grail that is impossible to find.

They either have no sleeves, long sleeves, not a proper scoop, silly cut outs on the back, are too short or have thin fabric.

It's such a flattering style that I don’t understand why it’s so hard to find.

Kettlewell might not be deep enough of a scoop but they have them.

The sleeves on this are really strange though. Not short and not long.

So annoying that it's so difficult to find them.

ClaudiaDark · 08/07/2025 19:28

Have you tried Ulla Popken? I have these in a range of colours and they're very flattering.

I have been looking for exactly this for many months, nay years. My sad conclusion is it doesn't exist. The M&S ones are a nice shape so I thought hurrah!... till you wash them very gently once and they turn into a rag.
Oh for the highstreet of 20 years ago!

This is very thick, just got one 🙂

GameOfJones · 08/07/2025 20:15

My best ones in this style are from Fat Face and randomly.... Mountain Warehouse. A few years old now but worn constantly so may be worth a look?

Butterflysunshine01 · 08/07/2025 20:17

Try Boody?! Lovely tops and clothes

She doesn’t want baggy. She wants fitted

AnnaQuayInTheUk · 08/07/2025 20:34

I'm the same OP. Long body, big bust. It's a nightmare.

I do have a lovely Rapanui scoop neck tee which is a few years old but their current range is all crew neck apart from a 3 pack of plain colours.

IMissSparkling · 08/07/2025 18:13

Except that's not what the OP wants. 😂

They do short sleeved ones too! 😂😂

Nitgel · 08/07/2025 21:16

The jigsaw ones are lovely but perhaps may be too thin

fireplaceember · 08/07/2025 21:21

Lurking
I am 5ft 10 with big boobs and need a scoop or v neck that isn’t overly clingy but fitted enough to be flattering

Jigsaw used to be really reliable, but the quality has really declined. I’m still wearing a couple of ancient ones, but they’re on their last legs.

Rapanui any use? Not super, super thick, but the white one I have on now is nowhere near see through.

I ordered these but returned them - really nice t shirts but not very long in the body. (at least not long enough for me, I’m 5ft 9in)

I did notice they've reverted back to the supima cotton they used a couple of years ago

Frostiesflakes · 08/07/2025 22:23

Vera Moda do some really nice deep
scoop long t shirts
I’ve got a few and they definitely show off your cleavage 😂 and they are longer than the usual waist type one
I love mine
they don’t look that deep in the picture but they are if your fairly busty like me ( DD. Cup but slim )

I just want a good quality (thick fabric), slim fitting, long t-shirt with short sleeves and a proper, deep scoop neck.
Frostiesflakes · 08/07/2025 22:25

And I have a few of these they are longline so if you want a longer length t shirt they are great

when searching use the words longline deep scoop t shirts - that’s what I did when i was looking for mine

PiggyPigalle · 08/07/2025 22:52

John Lewis, put neckline etc. in the filter.

YippieKayakOtherBuckets · 08/07/2025 22:56

As pp have said, scoop necks aren’t fashionable at the moment I’m afraid. I couldn’t tell you the last time I saw someone wearing one.

If you would consider a bodysuit, you could try Not Basics (formerly known as Pantee). I am 6’ with a long body and very large bust and find their length perfect as long as I size up (I’m a 14-16 and wear their 2XL). The quality is excellent and they are double-lined so your bra never shows through even in white. They don’t do a scoop shape but you could try their square-neck: https://notbasics.co.uk/products/organic-cotton-square-neck-bodysuit-black?srsltid=AfmBOoq_32DQ9tI0Uk2TP2lv4uhmheRaDlVbFUjXb9plUCDQawFvwt7J

ChimneyPot · 08/07/2025 23:03

I was going to recommend these.
They are my basic every day t shirt

WideOpenBeaches · 08/07/2025 23:08

If you can find the right scoop neck but with long sleeves, take it to your local alterations guy and have them taken up. I’ve done that with V necks.

Stormroses · 08/07/2025 23:10

@Frostiesflakes - that is a lovely tee - where is it from?

OP - I was going to suggest Boden double layer scoop tee but someone up thread has already posted it too. Did you take a look? Seems close to what you want.
