Stupid question re eyebrows.

I am not one to wear makeup or the like, but I am really intrigued about micro bladed.

im not talking about the huge slug type ones (I’m in my 60s) but the very subtle ones. I have very fair brows that I rarely pluck as, although they are quite bushy, they aren’t obvious because I wear glasses.

so my question is, if I got them micro bladed what do I do with the eyebrows when they grow? Wax? Shave? I genuinely have no idea and feel really stupid asking!

You just shape them as you usually would so wax or tweezers, you don’t need to shave them off
I’ve had micropigmentation which is v subtle

Your natural eyebrows stay in place. You don’t shave or wax them, just pluck the strays or do whatever you’d usually do. The micro blading is to supplement the natural hairs.

If you’ve seen pics where they just have the micro blading and no natural hairs, that may be people who’ve had chemo or alopecia. I’ve seen a few tattoo artists on Insta who specialise in microblading for people with no natural eyebrow hair - but that isn’t the norm.

However if you have eyebrows that are naturally bushy just fair, I personally don’t think microblading is what you need. (especially as there are a lot of bad results around!!) That’s more for people with sparse eyebrows IMO. I’d start by getting yours tinted darker and then shaped.

You would be better off with a wax and tint if you have plentiful brows. Microblading is suitable for sparse brows as it's simply drawing hairs with the ink, but doesn't last very well compared to powder brows. Powder brows is the shading rather than drawing individual hairs.
