You probably all know this already. But if you don't - it's fantastic! Bought some Friday and have used it twice. Hair transformed

I am so with you on this ....

TsarChasm · 25/05/2008 13:46

I've ignored it for ages. Thought it looked nothing special (shallowly going by the packaging ) Fab fab!!

and it smells fab too!

Definitely my all-around favourite.

Moomin · 25/05/2008 13:50

wot so nice about it?

and wot kind of hair have you got - before and after?

bran · 25/05/2008 13:51

I use Aussie conditioner, the 3-minute miracle one. I keep trying other things but coming back to that. I've tried the shampoo but currently prefer Burt's Bees or Aveda thickening shampoo.

norkmaiden · 25/05/2008 13:52

curly/frizzy (if not attended to!)

Aussie seems to have a nice way of smoothing/softening - that's using the 'everyday' ones anyway, haven't tried the other ones for specific conditions etc.
3-minute deep conditioner also good.

Moomin · 25/05/2008 13:56

would be wasted on a toddler? Dd2's hair is like a burst couch and looks like I brush it with a toffee apple half the time

TsarChasm · 25/05/2008 13:57

My hair is straight and fine. For months it's been having a complete fit about nearly everything I've used. It's looked dull, weighed down dry and greasy all at once . It's driven me batty.

Used the Aussie stuff - the one for everyday use - with the conditioner and voila. Shiney, well behaved under control. Looks like dc after they've had a talking to - positively angelic

I use the extra moisture one on DD's hair (she is mixed race) & it is MUCH easier to comb after

I use the ordinary on mine & I have lots less frizz

Good tip, Katmac. When 'tame', dd2's hair is beautifully ringletty but it's also very fine too, hence the burst-couch look. I use serum and detaingler on it and that does help but I think I'm going to have to tackle it at shampoo level as well! My hair fine and not curly. Goes mental in slightly damp air though, so will try the aussie stuff for me and her.

suzywong · 25/05/2008 15:30

did you know the supermarkets (yes there are two of the, so a plural needed although they close at 5pm on a saturday here in Hicksville) do not stock any of the brands of which you speak.
So take pleasure that you are draining the country dry of its natural resources and let every drop count

MargaretMountford · 25/05/2008 15:40

how funny- I was toying with an Aussie shampoo today in Boots - wondering whether to buy instead of the Elvive which I've been using (which is v good actually) - so you reckon the everyday one is good for fine hair then ?

Moomin · 25/05/2008 15:40

We most certainly will, Madame Wong...

NotABanana · 25/05/2008 15:41

I agree.

The Naked range dried my hair out and the Aussie range restored it.

suzywong · 25/05/2008 15:42

yeah, you'd bloody better
especially that Mint stuff with the big bold typeface
honestly, I am bombarded with Pantene in the "super"market as thought it is the new Holy Water
What I wouldn't give for some Boots Henna

I bet you bloody would if L'Oreal started paying for your monthly broadband, young lady!

Caz10 · 25/05/2008 15:44

the aussie stuff is a thooooousand times better than elvive MM - I use the moisturising stuff and it's truly a miracle!

the pink elvive gave me chip pan hair so I hold a grudge

MargaretMountford · 25/05/2008 15:45

even the light version ?

Its 2 for £5 in Waitrose at the moment, you know...was tempted last week but didn't in the end. I might do now though!

suzywong · 25/05/2008 15:50

it is a pile o'shite
if there were comensurate advances in stem cell research or similar as there seems to have been in hair-care technolgy in the last few years imagine what a better place the world would be.

i am blessed with wavy glossy locks and unless I use camel piss the result rarely differs.

brightongirldownunder · 25/05/2008 15:54

Woo get you suzywong!
Well can someone tell me why I can't find aussie shampoo in australia? Have they shipped the whole lot to the UK?
I need some good shampoo as I have so much hair that when I dry it it can fill a whole room. Can someone suggest something to make it all lovely and silky? Otherwise I'm going to have to donate it as hair extensions to the likes of victoria beckham.

MargaretMountford · 25/05/2008 15:56

Paul Mitchell shampoos are good and smell lovely !
