Photo attached of the state of the skin on my calves. I'm mid 40s. It's just started looking like this, I know it's probably normal but is there anything I can do to improve or slow down the decline please? 🙈

Yes it's normal. Drink water, use moisturiser.

Your legs just look a bit dry!

Exfoliate and moisturise on repeat.

Do you use moisturiser?

I've always had dry legs and the best moisturiser for me is Aveeno Skin Relief Moisturising Lotion (the blue label) as it seems to have an accumulative effect (ie doesn't wash off entirely after your next shower):

Widely available in supermarkets etc. Best to buy it when it's on a reduced offer!

Only ever moisturised after shaving. So not that often!

I'll start doing it more, thank you all.

Try This works...dry leg oil..x

JustWhatIAlwaysWanted · 27/06/2025 18:06

Yes, moisturise them more, say every other day. It doesn't take as long as you imagine. Any kind of body butter slathered on quickly will still make a difference.

Bio oil is great for this.

The best I've found for my snakeskin legs is a splash of baby oil rubbed into wet skin then air or pat dry.

Thank you everyone x
