Any recommendations to help with or even prevent sore feet during city break

I’ve got a three day break to London coming up, I do this regularly and love it except for how tired my feet get. Obviously I wear my most comfortable shoes and usually wear a different pair each day, but I wondered if anyone has any suggestions for reducing the soreness. My hotel room only has a shower so I can’t even soak them at night. What do others do?

Proper walking boots or trainers? Fashion shoes are not suitable. I’ve done 30k steps a day for 6 days on a volunteering holiday and had no foot soreness at all. Gelert Walking boots.

Very common in London to see women dressed to the nines, or very smart business wear wearing their trainers while using public transport and walking - they’ve all got their dressy shoes in their bag.
Is that an option for you? It really does make a world of difference! I did it on a city break to Prague where we walked miles and miles. Wore what I wanted, walked around in a pair of gym trainers and kept what became known as “my restaurant shoes” in my bag 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

As much as I tried to avoid them . Sketchers trainers are comfy when walking miles

I'd suggest you may have weakened or hurt your feet through wearing fashionable shoes that are not offering adequate support. I would suggest seeing a podiatrist.

If Im on a city break and sightseeing, its my trusty walking shoes - Merrells - with well walked in socks and I dont give a fig what others think

When you are doing over 20k steps a day ( which for me is the norm on a city break ) then foot comfort trumps fashion and style

When I get back to the apartment/hotel, off come the shoes, and if my feet are really hot, run them under a cold shower to bring down any swelling ( else shower as normal ) and during the evening raise them up - propped on a pillow whilst lying on the bed

Many a time Ive taken " nice shoes" for the evenings and haven't bothered No one is looking at you

Support and comfort all the way
