Summer clothes when you hate arms, stomach and legs

I don’t have a clue what to wear when it’s hot anymore. I hate the feeling of having my arms out, my legs out or my stomach out. I don’t suit anything baggy on my bottom half as I have wide hips and I can’t bear jeans or anything with a tight waistband. I’m still wearing leggings and a t shirt as I can’t find anything else and I look so unstylish and boring. I’m a 10/12 and just feel utterly crap in everything I try on. Any ideas hugely appreciated.

Dresses, comfortable below the knee and short sleeve rather than sleeveless, I’m bigger than you 14-16 though I wish I was your size. I think all ladies look good in dresses whatever the size.

What about something like a T-shirt dress? I have a few of these and they always look nice but are easy to wear

Have you thought of trying a loose pair of trousers with a tunic length top?

You probably would look fine is anything, but if you don't feel right, you won't.
I wear Lucy & Yak style dungarees a lot in summer.

I feel exactly the same but I am a size 16-18, had some really helpful comments on my thread about tops, but I also got some maxi dresses that are a wrap style with a floaty sleeve. I’ll find some links x

I saw someone the other evening and she had cropped black loose trousers and a green and ecru patterned long shirt over it, mules of some sort on her feet and I thought she looked great.

There were young women or girls in floral ra-ra skirts and black vests, and they looked great too.

There was a saddo in jeans, grubby white trainers and a tatty t-shirt but she was only going to the supermarket to get the yellow stickers. Smile

What type of neckline suits you OP? What colours are your best? Establish these two facts and plan around it.

E.g if you are cool toned and suit a shirt neckline try tailored lightweight trouser ( semi elastic waistband) light weight shirt loose but tailored plain /patterned/ striped
Sandals that suit your lifestyle/feet. all in cool blues, lilacs, pinksGreys, White or possibly navy

Im a ‘summer’ (ironically) and usually live in gym clothes - leggings and a baggy top. I feel nice in that and I feel like I’m addicted to the comfort of the elastic waist holding everything in place. I see so many people looking great in t shirt dresses and loose trousers etc but I look somehow huge and clownish in them. I feel like I’m in fancy dress in a dress. I hate seeing any hint of cleavage on me so wear a round neck generally I guess, sweatshirts basically!

Substitute the collared shirt for a collarless round neck shirt?
