Is it possible to heat style without damage?

I am new to this so would love some advice!
My hair is similar to the pic, a bit longer, dark blonde, not dyed.
It is in good enough condition but has always been a bit poofy and frizzy by nature.

It would be so much easier for me to style it wavy/curly with heat, it would be quicker, and smoother ,but I am afraid of making the frizz or condition drier/worse.

Are there any methods or products available now that decrease heat damage?
I would like to put defined waves into my hair that are less fluffy than my own, but can't think how unless I use a hot brush or ghd's.

Or am I better off avoiding it?
I usually air dry, it takes about 2 hours depending.

I Have similar hair & have had good results using kerastase ultime elixir serum with the shark flex styler. Neither are cheap but have definitely prevented my bleached blonde hair extensions from becoming a frazzled dry mess! I also use sulphate free shampoo & conditioner.

I tried the elixir a few years ago, unfortunately it just sat on my hair rather than blending in.
Even the tiniest amount felt like an oil slick - I wonder if it's because my hair is fine.

I sometimes think my hair needs some silicones Grin

I use a no sulphate shampoo and conditioner. Frizz Ease lightweight serum and Schwarzkopf-Styling-Keratin-Protection Spray. The Frizz ease 5 Day straight is also good too. I dry & style with a Revlon one step brush. Total time spent is under ten mins for shoulder length hair.

There are lots of spray heat protection products on the market that stop the damage from happening, worth trying them i reckon.

Thank you!
I have just had a new product delivered - a kerastase heat spray called gloss absolu.
I tried it on damp hair earlier and blow dried with my parlux. It was a ton better than usual but still really dry looking. This is amazing for the humidity, it was like a sponge before!

I am worried my parlux is too hot? I can't recall the high temp but the medium just does not get my hair to sit down!

Is blow drying healthier than using a straightening brush? It looks just as dry but even more frizzy if I let it air dry with wavey products. I can't win.
I have a GHD glide but feel it makes my hair too flat, and dry.
Aaaaaagh.,,,,

Yeh mine takes 10 mins to do.
I am sure i used to have the revlon one step and it blew air all over which set the frizz into outer space!

Try a tiny amount of serum or oil on the driest bit before spraying the heat protection and see if that helps.
