I like Wild. It's a stick deodorant/ antiperspirant that comes with a case and refills. The refills are a bit of a faff compared to some but I forgive them as it actually works.

Lidls vegan deodorant doest appear to have aluminium in it - I tried my tween with lots mentioned above and she didn't like the texture of any of them!

NUXE organic body deodorant balm. Comes in a litte tin, no chemicals, no aerosol, can take it anywhere, lasts forever

WhiskyandWater · 22/06/2025 14:50

Mine have been on fussy for years now, works well. We didn’t find Wild so good, seems if one works for you the other doesn’t (which is a shame as we prefer the wild cases).

SecondSeatontheleft · 22/06/2025 17:48

You can buy miniature Wild to try in the travel section of Boots. Perfect for popping in a bag for on the go.

minipie · 22/06/2025 18:17

DD likes Wild and it does seem to
work for her. As PP says you can get trial sizes in a cardboard tube.

OliviaBonas · 22/06/2025 19:46

I use Green People unscented.

drspouse · 22/06/2025 19:46

I've got Scence stick deodorant for my two.

Garlicchillilime · 22/06/2025 19:47

Akt is brilliant, I buy it online and it lasts for ages.

harrysally · 22/06/2025 19:48

Pitrok deodorant is brilliant i have used it for years. You can get it in Boots or Amazon

whatandindeedwhy · 22/06/2025 19:48

The Evolve deodorant is amazing, I couldn’t believe it lasted that long. But the downside is that it doesn’t come in a stick format, you have to apply it by hand

NannyR · 22/06/2025 20:03

Pitrok or salt of the earth salt crystals work brilliantly for me - rub on wet armpits after a shower and it keeps me completely odour free all day. It's not an antiperspirant though, so you still sweat it just doesn't smell.

Soontobe60 · 22/06/2025 20:06

It’s anti perspirant your Dc needs, not deodorant. It never ceases to amaze me that teens think a squirt of deodorant will stop them sweating. Fussy is not an antiperspirant. Neither is Wild.

drspouse · 22/06/2025 20:46

I'm not bothered if my DCs sweat and they don't seem to be much bothered either (or at least not yet) but they are horrible to sit next to in hot weather if they don't use deodorant.

imnotwhoyouthinkiam · 22/06/2025 20:51

I like Wild, and more importantly so do my armpits which are stupidly sensitive. Mind you, I'm not 100% sure how well it works as I have no sense of smell so can only trust my DC and best friend are being honest when they say I don't smell.

Gattopardo · 22/06/2025 20:56

Just buy your bog standard antiperspirant from the supermarket. There is no reliable evidence at all for a risk from aluminium.

And echo what everyone else says about not buying a deodorant. That’s literally just covering up the smell of sweat with perfume -grim.

Chemical-free products are big business - and categorically not chemical free. We are made up of chemicals.

Oh come on @Gattopardo, you know what people mean when they say they want toiletries that are free from nasty chemicals! I'm sure you'll agree that not all chemicals have the same effect on the human body. OP obviously doesn't mind about chemicals such as water or salt. She's stated that it's the nasty chemicals she's trying to avoid, which might include chemicals such as parabens (endocrine disruptors), solvents (indoor air pollution, headaches) and fragrance (allergies, environmental persistance).
