Looking for recommendations please. Hair is shoulder length, prone to frizz and quite wavy.

I have the Dyson ones. They are great, but my only gripe is that the battery only lasts about half an hour!

@BraveStarr that is annoying! Thanks, I’ll have a look at the Dyson ones!

I have the ghd ones. Brilliant for travel but not for very thick hair. I have fine shoulder length hair.

Thank you @Twilightstarbright, I’ve been debating over the GHD’s. Why are they not good on thick hair please?

I have the Dyson ones and I do like them but be warned.

They are very expensive and once the rechargeable battery dies you cannot have it replaced. Mine were a gift, bought on the day they were originally released. Knowing what I know now, I would have returned them.

After using them happily for several years the battery performance is poor and I expect they will become unusable very soon. Meaning I have a very expensive set of straighteners that I cannot have the battery replaced on. So useless. For the price I would have expected to be able to pay to have the battery replaced and continue using them happily for years to come.

I will inevitably move back to my trusted 10 years old GHD's which are still going strong. I'm not sure I'd go for another cordless pair now. Despite their ease.

I'd be delighted to find out I was wrong and the battery can now be replaced but a quick google a couple of weeks ago when they became obviously impaired said differently.

I look forward to seeing what you decide upon. Perhaps you'll tempt me too!

Good luck 🍀

@MorticiaAddamsIsMyStyleGuru thanks for this info!
I’m still deciding. Really only need some cordless for holidays so trying to justify the expense tbh. Trying to make my carry on lighter as don’t want to take a check in case when only away for a few days.

I will report back!

Thinking of buying a pair of cordless straighteners for lighter packing and also for camping but have been reading tales of cordless straighteners not being allowed through security at Japanese and NZ airports if the battery can't be removed. Does anyone have experience of these being allowed / not allowed through security? Obviously they couldn't go in the hold with a lithium battery. Thanks.
