Skin barrier repair

Used a new moisturiser recently and within 2 days of using it I came up in a red rash accompanied by tiny little spots all over my face! Since then I have stripped my routine right back to moisturiser (a different, reliable one!), spf in the morning and double cleansing and moisturiser at night, however my skin is still sore. Can anyone recommend any skin barrier creams that may help? I have combination and sensitive skin, and I'm allergic to fragrences.
Have previously tried La Roche Posay Citaplast but it didn't work for me.

I burnt my fave with retinol..got a bit over zealous I think. The cerave one sorted me out in about 5/6 days.
it’s a thick moisturiser but it sinks in well and doesn’t feel greasy, no fragrance and is very gently
simple also do one that’s marketed as a barrier repair one but I’ve I only used that when my skins was ok. It’s fine but takes a
bit longer to sink in

Hi Op I really like the Aveeno Calm and Restore range. Very well priced and always available on Amazon. It really helped sort my skin out when I damaged my skin barrier.

The Laroche posay cicaplast is good for skin repairing and soothing

Edited because I just saw you said cicaplast didn't work for you!

Bioderma Cicabio was miraculous for me when I wrecked my skin with acids.

Another vote for aveeno calm and restore. I also use dr jart ceramidin, the one in the tube. It’s really rich.
