Does anything? I’m sorry, I know there’s lots of posts already about hair loss but I just don’t know what to do or buy.

Im post menopausal, in reasonably good health but my hair (or lack of it) is destroying my confidence.

please help.

I have reasonably thick hair anyway but was taken in by the ads, didn’t make any difference to me.

I didn’t try the serum stuff, but I did try the shampoo, conditioner, and perfecting cream (the pitta range). I found it dreadful and got rid of it after about half a bottle. It seemed to leave a weird residue. I tried using tiny amounts, larger amounts, but it was always the same. I can’t understand the hype surrounding it!

I started to use a product recommended on here called hairburst from Holland and barret. I’m 3
months in a it’s definitely working.

I would look at minoxidil, it’s made a lot of difference for me.

Just to add, think about getting your iron levels checked as well, you want to have ferritin levels of over 70 for good hair health.

That’s exactly what I as going to say. Mine came out in clumps when my ferritin was 13. Much better after iron supplements.

I’ve been using UK hair serum and it’s working for me. Lots of new growth. My hairdresser was amazed at the results I’ve had. I’ve also started using the Cornish Seaweed Bath Co shampoo and conditioner and it’s definitely reduced the amount of hair I was losing each time I washed my hair. It’s funny stuff, not like shampoo at all and does take a while for your hair to acclimatise to it. Others on here have given up with it as your hair does feel sticky and can look greasy for a couple of weeks but it’s definitely worth persevering with. It also helped get rid of my ridiculous itchy menopause scalp.

I'm on Hair+me which has given me a perscription for this, only 1 month in though so cant say how its working yet.

Hairburst is really good. Also Biotin supplements.

Yes, Champo has worked for me! Bought some about a year ago and by new year I found baby hairs! Honestly v impressed - I use it every morning and my thin patch, while not vanished is definitely less obvious and new hair growth continues. It’s right at the front hairline but I’ve been able to grow out my fringe to do a side parting without being terrified of the wind revealing it iyswim. I always hated center partings anyway lol.
To be fair I had also changed a few other things in my life for the better (quit drinking, was already eating better and exercising and taking menopause supplements) but am sure it’s the Champo serum. I wouldn’t bother with the other Champo products though - according to a trichinosis on Radio 4’s Sliced Bread show, only something that stays on the scalp is going to make a difference. The shampoo and conditioner were nice enough but have switched to curly hair products as my hair has gone curly in my 40s. Still on first bottle of Champo a year later, worth every penny.
