A bit late, but the original skirt is lovely and would be great for an apple. I have a similar one, bought years ago from Wallis, and it is sooooooo lovely and flattering, I LIVE in it come summer!

I'm 5'6", what length did you order? The shorter one definitely won't swamp you, even the longer one might be ok (although it might not).
