Shampoo that you blow dry instead of rinse?

I saw this in a Facebook video but now can’t find the video or the product! It was an alternative to dry shampoo - liquid that you spray on then blow dry and it makes your hair look clean. Does anyone know what this is?

When I google it I just get “towel off” shampoo which seems to be more for people who are bedridden. This product had a different name and seemed to be from a hair care brand.
I hate the feeling of dry shampoo so hoping someone know this product (or has tried the towel off shampoo Nilaqua?)

Placemarking. That sounds great.

If you Google Spray shampoos a few comes up they might be what you are looking for,

Never mind they all saying they are dry shampoo 🙄

Tbh if it was any good L'oreal would be selling it. I take all SM ads with a bucket of salt.

Maybe you mean K18 AirWash dry shampoo - it’s a liquid spray not aerosol. You don’t have to blow dry it in after but you can. I honestly couldn’t believe how effective this was at making my hair look less greasy versus usual dry shampoos. My only issue is it makes your hair very textured and difficult to brush - definitely use sparingly!

From a scientific point of view, how would that work???

When you wash your hair normally, the dirt and oil is washed away.

When you use a dry shampoo, the dirt and oil is still there but the powder absorbs the oil - just like when you put some powder on your oily face, to get rid of the shine.

If you just spray a liquid on your hair it’s not going to achieve anything!! It’s just not possible.

That stuff contains silica - so it’s actually just like a dry shampoo.

I’m pretty sure I remember the product in the video being in a dark bottle, but the K18 Airwash sounds very similar from the product description. £48 though 😳

I know what you mean. I wondered if it’s liquid that evaporates off and leaves a powder. Or maybe it works like an upholstery shampoo which gets dirt out without needing to rinse. But the lady in the video went from greasy hair to clean and bouncy without a powdery look and that was enough to convince me 😆

That would be great indeed!

Is it the got2be one?

I bought it with high hopes but it doesn’t work as well as Batiste, my roots are very powdery AND it leaves a fine film of white powder all over the room!

Lushlylemons · 10/06/2025 16:55

This is the one I use. It's ok it smells lovely and it's cheap. You can towel dry or blow dry it.

I’ve tried two (treseme and also sacha juan). I didn’t like them and they went in the bin
