Hi, 54 years old a have always been very lucky with my skin. However a very difficult year has taken its toll and I feel it shows in my face.

Can someone help with a routine and some decent products? I've researched but I'm overwhelmed with the selection. I have fine lines appearing and I just want to get my glow back as I realise there is no reversing to aging! Skin is normal and it's lucky if it sees a make up wipe currently to be honest!! Not too worried about budget

I'm a similar age to you OP.
My evening routine is as follows:

1.Cleansing oil to remove makeup followed by Fresh Soy cleanser to double cleanse.
2.`Splash face with Fresh Kombucha tonic,
3.Estee Lauder Night repair serum,
4.Emma Lewisham supernatural face Oil serum
5.Drink Elephant LaLa retro moisturiser.

In the `morning as follows:

1.Wash face in shower with Fresh Soy cleanser,
2.Splash face with Fresh Kombucha tonic,
3.Medik 8 vitamin C serum
4.Drunk Elephant peptide moisturiser
5.Paulas Choice SPF

If skin ever feels conjested I tone with Paulas Choice BHA liquid- maybe once or twice a week

@UmberMooseyes but not immediately. I stop tret about 48 hours before and resume about 48 hours after. It’s more of a habit I’ve got into, although I leave my face alone completely for 24 hours after as rubbing your face after Botox isn’t advised. I also am very careful after microneedling.

I find I can use tretinoin at 0.025% strength nightly but needed to use 0.05% every other night.
It is so far superior to retinol for anti-ageing if you can tolerate it.

@Midlifeshenanigansi cleanse with either caudalie cleansing oil or wild source cleansing melt (the latter is a bit pricy but amazing and softening).
am: beautypie super dose vitamin c, followed by triple hyaluronic moisturiser, and it’s sister eye cream followed by the beautypie spf.
pm: after cleanse: beautypie youthbomb double vitamin radiance concentrate, beautypie retinal triple renewal serum and multi action night repair eye serum.
finally my one indulgence - the skin diary night repair therapy moisturiser.
I tone a couple of times a week with Caroline Hirons the gentle acid.
I also like Summer Fridays jet lag mask which I’m using instead of the brilliant but unbelievably expensive Sisley black rose mask.
my skin is very very dry and these are the products that have helped me to glow and improve my skin tone and fine lines. This time last year I was using augutinas bader the ultimate soothing cream, which was lovely but I was determined to find a cheaper alternative and beautypie has done that. I might try one of their moisturisers to replace the skin diary one.

As I say I’m 59 and have tried many products and actives over the years.

Never heard of Renew + me, so no comment on its quality, I would be wary if you’ve never used retinol to start of on one ‘20 times more potent’ than most other brands, worth doing some research on how to introduce retinol into your skin care. Medik8 good brand and has lower potency options.

I am hearing this for the first time, kindly review when you use

about:blank Medik 8 also worth considering, What products you need will depend on your skin condition now so worth a look at what that have which may suit your requirements.
