32FF, not underwired, supportive, I’d say pretty but I’ll take not butt ugly, and not cripplingly expensive. For teen dd who has sensory issues so won’t wear underwires…doesn’t like the pressure on her sternum!

M&S body bras fit the bill. A bit sports bra looking but soooo comfy!

DorotheaDiamond · 06/06/2025 07:53

Yeah tried those (M&S) for me (36H) no support or cup shape - full on monoboob :-( might be worth trying on someone younger, smaller and perkier though! Assuming I can find one of the right size in store (ha ha ha)…

Chantelle doesn’t go up to FF :-( also not convinced by the fit on the model - that curved back strap is not right! But might give it a go…thank you! And thank goodness for free returns!

The bra on the model is clearly too big on her. Nothing to do with the bra though.

and re the FF I find that non wired bras don’t need to be an exact size fit like wired ones do.

madaboutpurple · 06/06/2025 09:44

I would suggest Bravissimo ,also Ample Bosom website.

latetothefisting · 06/06/2025 09:56

Asda non wired ones - the comfiest bras I've ever had. The t shirt ones are the most supportive but the v neck/bralette ones might be good for a teen. Quite plain but have a bit of lace on the side etc and you can get matching pants. They do f and g but not ff.

Also cheap as chips and free delivery to a shop/free returns so worth trying!

WicketWoo · 06/06/2025 19:58

Have you considered shapermint. Their none underwired bras are very supportive

LightCameraBitchSmile · 06/06/2025 21:35

Are you a 32FF or a 36H?

Well neither!!! I was a 36H when I tried the flexi fit…now less, but looking for 32FF for daughter! Hence the thought they might work better for someone smaller and perkier even though I thought they were useless!

I also detest wired bras but need a lot of support. Try these.

Gettingbysomehow · 07/06/2025 20:30

Triumph bras are also very good their wireless bras are very supportive and give a great shape.

I quite like the snag ones for wearing around the house. They’re not conventionally sized though I’m a 36h and wear a size5 in the everyday ribbed one.

Some straps of bigger cups are so thin I can’t cope with the pain on my shoulders

Skulling · 07/06/2025 22:39

Following this as I’m after the exact same thing. Freya did great non-wired ones but since the fuckers discontinued them I’m lost.

Alliscalmallisnotbright · 07/06/2025 22:58

I’m 32ff and sensory issues. I generally wear sports bras but on the rare occasion I need normal bras , I bought some Primark bras! Absolutely excellent. I cut all the tags off but I think they’re called T-shirt bra or padded non wire or similar. I sister sized in one definitely so 34e. Definitely try Primark

TheLeadbetterLife · 07/06/2025 23:15

Miss Mary of Sweden—their non-wired bras are amazing, actual lift and separation, and comfortable (I can't bear wires, padding or sternum pressure either). Not cheap I'm afraid, but worth it.

1apenny2apenny · 08/06/2025 08:51

I hate bra shopping, never seem to get it right. I’ve had a look at the Miss Mary and think they’ll be good for me. I did the Boob or Bust measure recently and came out at 32H. I bought an M&S and the underwire is a bit uncomfortable, digs in my ribs. However I just did the Miss Mary measure and it says I’m 38 C! There is no way my band is 38.

Does anyone know if they have some weird measuring system going on? If you ordered and your measurements were vastly different did it work?

I've never understood how bra measurements are supposed to work, I think there's a lot of over-complicating. I thought the number was your underbust / band measurement, and the letter your cup size. So in Miss Mary I buy 80D (36D), which fits perfectly, because my underbust is 80cm.

I suspect, as with all clothing brands, there's a bit of trial and error to begin with, until you work out how they cut their garments.

A lot of high street stores (including m&s) do a plus 4 measurement. So they measure under your bust then add 4. No idea why. I think boob & bust are supposed to be most accurate. I recently went to an independent shop recommended by boob and bust and believe that I have a bra that fits for the first time ever 36H. M&S measured me at a 40D!
