Ok so my manager has a big birthday this week and my manager’s manager asked me to arrange the collection. I’ve got a hundred quid in the kitty. Was thinking about getting her a bottle of booze too hence the 70-100

I know she likes sparkly jewellery. I got her a costume piece in secret Santa.

I was looking at Pandora bracelets but everyone has told me they are considered naff now.

What brands can I look at?

I like Claire Hill designs, some lovely sparkly earrings within your budget.

Monica Vinader
Rachel Jackson
have bought gifts from both and have always gone down well

I've recently discovered The Jewellery Channel whilst browsing.

They have some lovely sparkly pieces. Look at their moissanite range.

buy a voucher for a jewellery shop, or a gift receipt. It’s so hard to choose someone else jewellery

Agree. Jewellery is very personal. It would be an expensive mistake if she doesn’t like it!

I would spend the full amount on jewelry rather than wasting some of it on a bottle of wine. That bit extra will make a huge difference.

BrightOrangeDahlias · 01/06/2025 23:28

If she likes sparkly things, something like this (possibly with a gift receipt, just in case!)?

Do you know where she normally shops for clothes? What's her usual style? When you say she likes sparkly jewellery do you mean costume jewelry or the real thing? Does she usually wear silver or gold?

Peaceandquietandacuppa · 01/06/2025 23:29

Tatty Devine voucher?

Peaceandquietandacuppa · 01/06/2025 23:29

Agree Rachel Jackson too

Peaceandquietandacuppa · 01/06/2025 23:30

Also consider whether she prefers gold tones or silver tones :)

MiracleCures · 01/06/2025 23:32

Jewellery is very personal, do you know if she has a favourite designer or similar?

Thelifeofawife · 01/06/2025 23:41

I had a similar situation recently and looked at Pandora & Swarovski as both have lovely jewellery.
I opted for Pandora as they had some good offers on at the time so got more for the money.
With your budget you could get a nice sparkly tennis bracelet

healthybychristmas · 03/06/2025 00:00

I really think you need to give her a voucher rather than choosing something. It's too personal and she'll feel under pressure to wear it even if she doesn't like it.

caringcarer · 03/06/2025 04:47

You could buy her a 9 carat gold chain for about £100. She could chose to wear it as is or buy herself a pendant to go on it.
